Finding a "full size" microwave just shy of 24" wide was quite the feat, and I found I had to replace a 15 year old Sharp with something else. I chose the Panasonic for its size (23.5"), but also for the turntable and the popcorn button. The popcorn button is a crucial element in this house.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. The sensors aren't as sensitive as I ....or the maple syrup...would like, but we're getting used to each other. The controls are user friendly and it does what I ask it to do. And it's quieter than my old one. This was a good choice for this kitchen. And I would gladly recommend the Panasonic.

We purchased this because we had such good luck with a previous Panasonic microwave- over 30 years old & still working! But this one only lasted 2 years, with light use (2 adults, no kids). We checked into repairing it- but were told it would cost more to repair than buying a new one. Very disappointed and would definitely NOT recommend this microwave!

We have only had it a month but it works great so far. It's really nice having a powerful microwave for once. Two smaller 900 watt units that were supposed to be temporary, but we kept way too long. This one has great features like the inverter technology which lets one control the power more precisely. The sensor heat function is good for reheating things. It also seems study enough to last a while. The only negative is that the feet are not sticky enough to keep it from moving a little when I push to door latch button. I'm just gonna glue some rubber feet on the bottom. And finally I need to mention that ordering online and having it delivered to my local store was so quick and easy...no one had to be at home for the delivery and I could pick it up at my convenience.

I wasn't looking for a real expensive microwave to replace my old one, but I wanted a nice looking one that would fit in the shelf opening. This one was the perfect size, has some great functions and looks awesome in my kitchen.

This unit replaced our older Panasonic Microwave (about 2 months ago). Like the previous unit, it performs well without any issues. We really like the "sensor cooK" feature...press and leave it. We do prefer the older style door handle rather than the push-button open operation. Overall, it's been reliable and picked up right where our previous model left off.

Read the reviews on this and a few of it's competitors, I liked what I read about the Panasonic as it was the most consistent highly regarded microwave I saw. I then went shopping. home Depot had the best online price.
Since we have gotten it we found that our cooking times are much shorter. Love the extra features, like being able to turn off the beeping sound that all microwaves make as you program them. All in all very happy with the purchase.

We previously bought 2 different expensive over the range microwaves. Top of the line Kitchenaide and LG. Neither lasted more than 24 months with just 2 retired people using them to reheat food or cook veggies for dinner. This time we decided to go cheap and if it doesn't last, at least we don't have $800 or $900 tied up in it. This one doesn't have sensor cooking like we had, but it will do.

Great product. I especially like the one button reheat. Haven't had the chance to try all the features but I do like the auto sensor feature.
