Product Overview

The Panasonic Arc IV Nanotech Shaver offers remarkable shaving on the first pass. Equipped with a quadruple foil and four cutting blades, the cutting surface of this shaver has been expanded by 32 percent, offering a better shave with each stroke. The blades are powered by Panasonic's linear motor, which operates at an amazingly fast rate so even the thickest beards or no match for this shaver.

  • Nanotechnology was used to polish the industry's sharpest 30-degree blades to achieve even better cutting performance, this razor's expanded cutting surface not only provides an efficient shave, but it also spreads the pressure, which naturally occurs whe
  • Fourth finishing blade provides an additional cutting opportunity not found on triple-blade shavers
  • In addition, the foils and blades on this razor are arced so they nestle gently into the skin for our closest shave ever. The foil glides evenly for uniform shaving on all surfaces of the face
  • At the heart of razor lies Panasonic's patented linear motor
  • It operates at an amazingly fast 13,000 rpm to cut through the thickest of beards
  • Standard razors operate at a pedestrian 8,000 to 10,000 rpm
  • To top it all off, this razor also features wet/dry operation, so you can use it in the convenience of your shower or for dry shaving when you have less time
  • Liquid crystal display indicates battery charge level by 10 steps and a cleaning reminder
  • It also comes equipped with a convenient travel case
  • There is nothing slow about this razor, even clean-up is at hyper speed
  • Simply hold the razor under running water and activate the turbo mode
  • The razor accelerates up to 17,000 RPM and vibrates off any remaining whiskers

Men's Arc Wet/Dry Shaver Blue-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, very well engineered shaver Superb shave with the 4 cutting blades. The smoothest shave I ever experienced and extremely quick. Pop up trimmer very useful and at a good angle. I also like the fact that it closes away and is covered (unexposed) when shut. My old shaver (from a different brand...) had a slide up pop up trimmer which was still exposed even when shut, potentially exposing it to damage when travelling, putting the shaver in a bag etc. I like the plastic protective blade cover and travel bag it came with - this is good for travelling, as it is very well protected. My only minor issue why I didn't give it a perfect score is that the charger plug to the shaver is rather tight to attach/remove. This could be improved and it would get a perfect score from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally pleased. This is the very best shaver I have owned. From the top, it is very quiet, smooth, easy to use and gives me a clean comfortable shave. There is no pulling or pinching of the beard or skin. I am very pleased. Richard J, Wisconsin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top product I bought an identical shaver about SEVEN years ago, now the battery does not hold the charge as well as it used to. Time to replace it with an identical one. This especially in view of the fact that replacement cutting heads and cutters are expensive. My only complaint: it does not work when plugged in. In other words, it is only cordless, does not work when corded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaver This was a replacement to an older 3 blade Panasonic shaver. I should note that i use it to shave my head and i was amazed how fast and close it shaves. I still use a blade afterwards but it is so minimal compared to my previous shaver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaver I was very skeptical about buying a electric shaveer. I have a heavy beard that grows every which way and is very difficult to shave even with a bladed razor. I looked at several different electric razors and this buy far was the best reviewed and at a decent price. I decided to give it a try. I used it first in the shower and I was very pleased with how close it shaved. My face smooth and just as close as if I used a bladed razor. This razor had a great feal and is very east to clean. I will be buying one for my dad too. Thanks Panasonic for such a great device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than any electric I've owned Because I have baby face skin with very dark whiskers, I have a hard time finding a razor of any kind that works for me. With most razors, I show a shadow a few hours later, other than with some blade razors. I also get razor burn really easily, even from blades, and with blades I seem to get micro-cuts pretty easily. So, I've been using electrics for years, but none ever really were right. Have tried a whole range of rotaries and foil razors. I bought this to replace a travel razor that died. Was hugely impressed first shave - close, no shadow all day, no burn, not even hot. I assumed it was just new razor wonderfulness, and that in a few weeks it'd be like most others. Didn't come out that way. I use the travel razor three days a week, and I'm now well into my second year on the blades, and it's as good as it was new. I'm looking at replacement blades just because it seems about time. I find the wet shave to be no big difference at all. I do like the cleaning capabilities. The trimmer blade isn't in a good position, have to hold at a weird angle to use and therefore can't see well what you're doing, it's not as good as many I've had. That's really my only functional issue. And, it's expensive, and replacement blades are really expensive...
