That is correct. Manufacturer provides all 3 bulbs with the unit.

do i need a 20 amp separate circuit for this product or 15 amp.

20 amp is required. Don't use a smaller breaker and risk the possibility of a fire.

Can i run the light and vent without the heat? Or does the light, vent and heat have to all be running?

Asked by: JPCheslock
They all run independently of each other but you need to have switches on the wall for each function.

mounted over shower

can this be mounted over a shower in the shower stall
Asked by: Larry
I have not found a heater unit that can be used over a shower. Fan and lights can be but they must be gfci produced. Once the heater is there that changes things. I am not sure where the other poster go 12" from as that is not a code issue. As long as it is not over the shower or tub footprint it is fine. Also it is not a safety issue with the unit over the shower it is to protect the heater from damage.

My husband and I love it. The heater is quick to heat and with the fan on you are kept nice and warm when coming out of the shower on a cold morning. The other benefit is the night light. It's the perfect amount of light for night time.

Installation was a little trickier than I first thought, had to open a large section of bathroom ceiling and change duct work from 4" to 5". Instructions indicate duct should be a straight run to turtle back roof vent or ridge vent which I couldn't do because the bath is in the basement. The heater is great and can really warm up a bathroom. I recommend the switch that is advertised with the light/fan/heater (you will need to run two 12/3 romex lines from the switch to the fan). I had to change my existing 2 gang box to a 3 gang as I was also running a separate light fixture on a different circuit.

Nice unit but poorly engineered, the light bar in the main body is one full inch off center. The light diffuser in the grill is centered. The grill has plastic bars on the inside that force the grill off center, meaning the grill overlaps the ceiling way more on one side than the other. problem if not taken into consideration when cutting the opening. also can not mount the main body flush to the ceiling, it has to be recessed in order to get some fudge factor to allow for the off centered construction off the main body. Gave it 1 star due to the large amount off extra work I needed to do because of the off centered grill. It was not an easy install in an old house. Also could not completely cover the opening with the grill.

This is the most quiet fan I have ever purchased. There is nothing worse than a loud annoying fan. I purchased a different brand at my last home and I thought it was really good. This is far better. The heater puts out more heat and the exhaust removes the steam after a shower is no time. My wife loves stepping out of the shower into a warm room instead of shivering and trying to dry off in 30 seconds. I have no problem recommending this fan-heater. It has both a night light and full light built into the fixture. I did hire an electrician to install it just to make sure I don't burn the house down. I had him put it on a separate breaker. It looks great and works great, what more can I say.

BUT, installation is quite involved with elements of carpentry, electrical work and HVAC required. I installed it myself and am happy with the end result, but the single most important aspect of the installation is to plan the electrical connections ahead of time. If you plan to use all the functionality (light, night light, fan, and heater) of the unit, you will require at least NINE separate electrical cabling connections: four power, four neutral, plus one ground The junction box in the unit is a little triangular unit and there is essentially NO WAY to fit all nine connections from the stranded wires in the unit to what are typically solid wire (12 gauge) cables from your house. I ended up putting two external junction boxes within a foot or so of the unit in the attic. I bought some 12-gauge stranded cable (which bends much more easily) for the short fun from the Panasonic to the junction boxes. If you can cable these short jumper cables IN THE PANASONIC BEFORE you install unit in the ceiling, it will save a lot of headache and effort. You'll need to install a proper conduit from the Panasonic to the new junction boxes to do it this way, but as I said, there is just no way to fit connections to your home's solid copper wire strands in the Panasonic unit itself. Maybe a professional electrician could do it, but he'd better have a plan to do so.

I'm my wife's hero after installing this Panasonic Whisperwarm 110 CFM Ceiling Exhaust Bath Fan with Light and Heater and Night Light. We haven't had it very long, but, so far it's fantastic! First of all, both the heater fan and the exhaust fan are truly whisper quiet. No kidding. It would be very easy to forget to turn them off because they are so quiet. The heater, which requires it's own dedicated 20 Amp circuit, is to die for. The heater is the bomb! It works so well in warming up the bathroom that the mirrors don't steam up in the first place, and second, standing beneath it after a shower is enough to dry my hair in just a few minutes. This is no exaggeration! Once dried off, turning on the exhaust fan evacuates the moist air in mere minutes and you can barely hear it. The main florescent light bulbs (supplied) really light up the bathroom and make the use of the vanity lights in the medicine cabinet unnecessary. And the night light (supplied) is perfect. In function alone, I rate this product 100% and it exceeded my expectations in every way. And it's good looking too. I installed this myself and pocketed the hundreds I would have spent on an electrician. After reading hundreds of reviews before purchasing, and realizing the widely criticized lack of space in the on-board junction box, I simply added 3 foot long pig tails to all the wires and brought them out in flexible conduits to a roomy exterior junction box that I screwed to a ceiling joist in the attic, where making all those connections was easy. Remember, this fan has four functions: Heat, Lights, Exhaust Fan, and Night Light. That's WAY too many connections for the tiny on-board junction box. Many say it's "do-able", but I saved myself a great deal of time and frustration by adding an exterior junction box in which to make all those connections. Also, I used the recommended four function switch from Panasonic. I put that and a GFCI outlet in a three gang box leaving one space open for a timer for the heater if it ever becomes a problem forgetting and leaving it on. No kidding; it's really that quiet. Would I buy another one of these? You bet! Would I recommend it to others? YES! Just know going in that unless you have some DIY skills and some electrical competence, you'll have to add a couple hundred dollars for a licensed electrician to install it. But this product exudes quality throughout. Everything is designed and built to last. Panasonic didn't cut any corners in its design or its materials. Even the blades on the fans are of exceptional quality in design being sculpted into airfoil shape and not just curved flat blades. This is what makes them so quiet. No turbulence while moving the air. Additionally, all components, both fans and heater element, can be serviced or replaced from the inside. No need to make service or repairs in the attic. The built in back draft damper is made of stamped METAL! No cheap plastic! And the damper also has padded bumper stops so it never makes that ugly clacking noise on windy days. You simply can't hear the back draft damper. And the field supplied 4 inch diameter exhaust piping (I used rigid PVC with glued joints to eliminate the possibility of condensation leaks in the attic) also reduces noise. When adding the exhaust piping, it is recommended to begin with a short (2 or 3 foot) straight pipe before making any bends. And be sure to slope it so there are no low spots or water traps in the exhaust piping. Everything necessary to install this exhaust fan is included and there's nothing more to buy unless you opt to do what I did and add an exterior junction box. But I already had the flexible conduit and the extra wire to make pig tails, and Romex connectors, and twist locks, and a junction box. But even if I hadn't had any of it on hand, none of it is expensive. Twenty dollars would more than cover all of it. And every hardware store carries it. And it was very little trouble installing it. Even for me, a DIY novice! Even if you have to add a separate 20 Amp circuit for the heater, which I had to do, all you need is some 12 gauge Romex and a 20 Amp circuit breaker and a couple hours time. Maybe an additional $40 for all. I actually enjoyed installing this thing myself. But now I'm enjoying the use of this thing, which makes it all the more worth the time and expense and trouble. No more winter chill during my showers. No more steamy walls and mirrors. No more dark bathroom. No more noisy fans. No more excess moisture in the house. What's not to like about this thing? NOTHING! Did I mention that my wife has renewed affection for me now? Some have complained about the non-standard florescent bulbs that must be purchased from Panasonic. I hate the use of proprietary parts. Panasonic..., fix it! Some have complained about the installation instructions. They could be improved. But common sense can fill in the blanks if customer service doesn't help. Just remember that one dedicated 20 Amp circuit is necessary for the heater with its own circuit breaker. Another 15 Amp circuit does the rest. Also remember that the lights, both the 2 florescent bulbs and the night light, have their own separate hot wires, but they share a single common. I used a 14/3 with ground so they can be switched separately. Connect whites to whites; blacks to blacks, and bare to bare. The recommended Panasonic four function switch has one black hot wire for all the lights that is switched between one blue wire and one red wire; one for the florescent bulbs and the other for the night light. If its a bit complicated for you, simply ask a competent friend. Others have complained that the heater element doesn't last. I suspect, after looking at mine, that the early failures were exceptions to the rule. If mine burns out early, I'll make a critical addendum to this review. Some have decided not to use the metal suspension mounting brackets that are supplied with this fan and have made their own 2"X4" wooden boxes to attach it to the joists. I, for the life of me, don't understand why they do this. Those brackets are well made, heavy duty, and drop dead easy to install correctly. As far as I'm concerned, there's only one legitimate complaint about this product, and that is the lack of space in the on-board junction box. There's a cheap and easy fix for that, which I employed. But others have found that the on-board junction box is big enough if adequate preparation and effort is made. Just be aware of the matter from the start. Rated 5 out of 5 by from COOL, CALM, AND QUIET We recently redid one of our bathrooms.. We wanted a very, very quiet bathroom fan and heater. We hit the jackpot with this one. We love how quiet the fan is and the heater warms up quickly in the bathroom . A pleasant surprise is the nightlight and how nice the fan looks on the ceiling. If you are looking for a bathroom fan that is QUIET and multifunctional this should be the one you choose. We have attached a picture of the fan in our new bathroom but please notice the beautiful shower tile and paint which was also purchased at Home Depot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Start ... Ordered online and it was delivered on time. Electrician installed and we have been using it for just over a week. So far so good as we get used to it. It's so quiet (compared to previous ones we have had) we actually wonder if it's working well to remove air. Heating element is very nice for the small (10 x 8) bathroom we installed it in. Love the night-light feature. As we run through the next few months of winter it will be interesting to see if it pulls its weight. Now we have to get used to the 4 switches required to operate it in addition to our vanity switch and shower can-light.
