I just bought this ventilation fan and discovered that there is this night light. Well, Home Depot should advise that you HAVE TO BUY THE ECOSWITCH 4 function (3 swtich) Switch in order to work this b/c the top switch is a double throw. I am not an electrician but after researching Panasonic's website and reading the specs and essentially googling this perplexing problem I speak electrician-speak and a SPECIAL switch is necessary. Home depot has it ON LINE and not in the stores (but shipping will take a week). My fan is already in ..so I can't wait. I just ordered it from Amazon w/ prime and will get it in a day. There is also a slew of comments on Amazon on the complications, good and bad points regarding installation. Hopefully, my electrician will be able to put it together. Suggestion for Home Depot is to put with the advertised product on the website, the necessary add ons that must be bought in order for the function to work properly.

20 amp is required. Don't use a smaller breaker and risk the possibility of a fire.

Answer:
You will need a 20A circuit, with #12/2 romex cable feeding the switches. I highly recommend running a dedicated 20A ( 1-20A circuit feeds nothing but the unit). And hiring a licensed "journeyman/master" electrician.
Heat has the highest electrical energy demand and consumption. Nothing to mess around with.
Good day.

They all run independently of each other but you need to have switches on the wall for each function.

Answer:
The lights, exhaust vent, heat, can be run individually. With the recommended switch you can run either the main lights or the night light, not both at the same time. All other options can be run individually or all at the same time.

Answer:
This unit can be wired so the fan, heat , and light have their own separate switches. Don't believe you would want the combination of the three running at all times? The combination switches can all be bought together and will fit in a four square box. This unit should also have a night light that is operational by the fourth switch.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Quiet ! I replaced a older loud unit myself. I took about 3 hours. The fan, lights and heater works great. Very Quiet ! I replaced a older unit and decided to buy a different brand because of its high ratings. I am very pleased with this unit. I installed myself in about 3 hours. The fan, heater and lights all work great. Only problem I have, is my wife wants 2 more installed in our other bathrooms. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by COOL, CALM, AND QUIET We recently redid one of our bathrooms.. We wanted a very, very quiet bathroom fan and heater. We hit the jackpot with this one. We love how quiet the fan is and the heater warms up quickly in the bathroom . A pleasant surprise is the nightlight and how nice the fan looks on the ceiling. If you are looking for a bathroom fan that is QUIET and multifunctional this should be the one you choose. We have attached a picture of the fan in our new bathroom but please notice the beautiful shower tile and paint which was also purchased at Home Depot! May 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good Product Works well but had trouble installing into existing opening. Have 24" joists and the bracket for the exhaust end was too short to mount. Had to modify while up in the attic, not very pleasant. Unit is very durable and quiet. October 20, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product It's is the perfect one for our bathroom. The fans quiet, lights is not to bright and the heater works great. October 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement bath Vent Fans Very quiet, lots of suction, great heat when needed, easy to install, and will be much easier to clean every year. Two CFL bulbs provide lots of light.. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fan is only about two inches deep as far as the part that extends into the room. Very quiet and pulls moisture out of the room quickly. Worth the price. October 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Panasonic Ceiling Exhaust Fan My plumber had no problem installing the unit. I really like the night light feature. The electrical supply house my plumber went to suggested putting the heater on a timer as a safety feature which I did. Overall I am happy with the exhaust fan, light, night light and heater. Every feature works as I had hoped. October 4, 2016
