The spring pressure is unequal or too high or the rubber is of inferior quality. This part worked on installation but had complete failure within one week. It appears that the spring applies too much or unequal upward pressure on the wear surface of the rubber seat. When the valve was opened the rubber seat was forced up into the opening on the valve plate and sheared off when the valve was closed causing complete failure of the seat. There are no burrs or defects in the valve body or the valve plate at the base of the stem and the seat was installed in correct alignment. I am now going back to get the original Delta springs/seats.

I could not get the kit to work. Seals kept falling out of shower faucet before I could put the assembly back together. After reading here I decided to use the old springs and it worked. We will see how long it lasts.

Thanks to another review of this product, I finally realized that my sink was still dripping because I had bought this instead of the Delta brand parts. Like the other reviewer said, these rubber seats tear easily and this is what happened to me as well. Stay away from these and stick with the actual Delta-made parts.

About the same satisfaction level as when the installation instructions on the package say to go to this website for the instructions, but I can't find any. I'd say the overall customer satisfaction rating is very low. Basically there are no product instructions. Pretty bad.
