CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Great This has a nut and a fairly thick washer at the top and a nut underneath so is very easy to do up tight enough to prevent water leaking through from the top of the sink. Once you adjust the nut from the bottom for the correct height (cap should go on with a few mm to spare) installation is very easy. They say to tighten with a wrench and I did with a large Dewalt shifting wrench but you have to careful not to overtighten as this is just plastic and the seal is just to stop water seeping through the hole, not stem the flow from Hoover Dam. I just chose white as I didn't want to get into the game of playing match with expensive faucet finishes (our faucet is Delta Touch Spotless Stainless) and it matches our sink nicely and and looks great installed (better than it did in the packaging). Just a note that if your air gap is leaking (ours was) it's not likely to be the air gap itself that's the problem. They typically leak when the drain side hose is blocked (the large black one that goes to the sink/disposer). Ours had a block of slime the size of a large polish sausage wedged in it and it's a wonder any water got through there at all. If it does leak water shouldn't get under the sink and if it does you either need a new washer, didn't do it up tight enough (unlikely) or put the washer on the wrong side (it goes above the counter not below the counter). Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Just because it is inexpensive doesn't mean it is good value. After a couple of days it leaked from around the gasket/mounting nut that is supposed to form a seal on top of the sink. When tightening the nut, using only moderate force, the threads (plastic) stripped. Now, I get to buy a better, more expensive brand. But I am still out the cost of this piece of junk. June 28, 2015
