This product was very easy to install. It took less than 5 min to install and it works flawlessly. I would highly recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by doug Great replacement tub spout
I had tried to install another brand of replacement tub spout, but it was very hard to install, and leaked. Youtube videos led me to this product, which was just what I was looking for. It went on easily, and absolutely no leaks. Some suggestions: chamfer the end of the copper pipe well, and smooth it with sandpaper-you don't want to cut the O-ring on the collar that slips over the copper pipe. I used a silicone grease on the pipe, too.
Home Depot: I don't understand why this product is not on the shelf in your stores-it is so much superior to other similar products carried by you and competitors, and comparable in price. I had to wait quite a long time for the delivery after I ordered this online. Good thing this shower wasn't the only one in my house.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by diversity210 For the price point. Its a good item
These spouts are in use in both of my bathrooms. Its a simple install that only takes about 5 minutes for me. Unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. I always have to take my tin snips and cut off about 1/8 of an inch of the metal on the back. So that it tightens fully in the correct position. Not everyone will have to do that though.
I have personally gone through a few of these spouts over the years and to me they get the job done. Nothing special. Each one will last for a few years before I end up having to change it due to the same problem. The diverter becomes calcified because of the hard water in my area and seizes up. So I am not sure if I should blame the spout or my hard water. Either way. I tend to rate a product based on the quality it is at the price point its in. Not what I would like to get from it because that just isnt fair to any product. At the price point these spouts are good. They are very easy to install and even someone with no plumbing or DIY experience can due so in minutes. They have a very nice chrome finish that matches the rest of the plumbing in my bathrooms. I have gone through maybe 2 of these in each bathroom over the years. Some may ask well why do you keep buying them. The simple answer is they are fast. Homedepot always have them in stock, they have a nice chrome finish, and they are very easy to install and at the price point buying one every few years is fine by me. I could by something like an expensive moen or delta spout but the kids will just scratch it, ding it, and tear it up anyway.
If you need something now that will look good and work properly for a few years then these are the way to go. If you want something that is going to last for the rest of the life of the house then you are looking in the wrong price category of tub spouts. Also if you have hard water in your area. I recommend buying something better than this.

Update the look of your bathtub with a new spout. This model has a built-in diverter for use with a showerhead. Includes adapters for multiple types of pipes--1/2", 3/4", 1/2" copper nipple.

Replacing existing diverter. I bought this to give me options on how I might want to install. I still will need to cut pipe from wall to get a good fit against the shower/bathtub wall.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jimbo May work with threaded pipe, but push-on fit is poor
Bought this to replace the older Moen Spout with a simple Hex screw on the underside of the Spout. The new part comes with adaptors which were an extremely tight fit, even after cleaning the copper and using some silicon lubricant. The new spout would not fit flush to the wall and the parts could not be disassembled after prying off. I ending up paying a little more and bought a Moen replacement from a Plumbing store.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CWConvoy Just "Slip It On"...
I kept repeating that portion of the instructions. Took almost 2 hours of taking some of the surface copper away with a dremel tool, file and sandpaper so that the O-Ring would "slip" onto the 1/2" copper pipe.
After it was assembled, it looked and seemed nice.. But this is the last time I go for a universal solution.
