Asked by: juss
It does not have a no mar tip. the tip is steel and has teeth for digging into wood framing.

Will this gun accept Grip-Rite 3”, clip head, 30 Deg, paper coated nails?

Asked by: Gene
Yes. At first, the gun jammed on a few of these, however after a few minutes, I had no other issues, so it could have been that particular strip of nails rather than an issue with the gun itself.

At first, certain size nails would 'drag' when fired, but as the nail gun became broken in, this was less of a problem. I wish the tool came with the connector to hook up to an air hose. It didn't so I had to find the parts at the store to make it work which was not really a problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Is it going out of production? I'm a little upset this was the last one in the store, marked down greatly which I like but now finding the 30-degree nails for it seems to be a problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great nailer I am building a large log home myself. I am not a professional builder, but need quality reliable tools as we do live in a remote area. I bought an off brand framing nailer thinking that it would surely get me through the project...should have known better! After problems with double shots, jamming, miss fires, etc decided I'd better bite the bullet and buy a good gun. Decided on Paslode after lots of research and glad I did. This gun is comparably light and never misses a shot. I like the ability to change the trigger to suit you needs for bump nailing or single. This is an oak log house with oak timbers, drives nails effortlessly and easily adjusts as needed to properly sink in a variety of materials, framing, decking, sheathing... love this nailer. Like the quality of the Paslode nails as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool for the money: takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' At just over 8 lbs. this nailer is easy for me (a 5'4" tall woman) and my two young teenage sons to use. We are building a cabin in Arkansas and the boys and I helped with much of the framing and we were all able to easily use this nailer. It has a bump trigger option, but I didn't install it for my own safety. With this added option you can shoot nails continuously, but you don't have to put this part on. Not only is it lightweight and easy to use, but has framed our entire house with no issues. For the money it's a great tool! The only con was that when I accidentally bought a different brand of nail, it jammed a little at first, but after a few hiccups it operated just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine I have had great success with this gun I purchased it abot three months ago and have had great success. Have not had a miss shot . Light Weight. Well Balanced. Loading from the top is fast and this gun takes a ton of nails in one load. The joist holder is great to clip it on my bags or on a joist. I use this this gun on the weekends and professionally. Make sure your air compressor is turned up high enough. My biggest down fall with it is that it only takes Paslode Nails, which are a little more expensive but they hold more than the plastic nails. however they dont shatter like plastic nails do. Over all I would highly recomend this gun.
