Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by baseballfan46 It lasted a year
I had to buy a new one and bought the same thing. The thread seems to have been removed somehow. I like this base and it held my umbrella up well. It was inexpensive enough to buy again. If I have to go through the same process next year I will buy a different model

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dolphinlover55 Doesn't Hold Umbrella
Bought a 9' umbrella and was told this umbrella base would hold it. Every time a mouse farts, it falls over. Had to order the 86# one. DON'T GET THIS UMBRELLA BASE, unless you buy a lightweight umbrella!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Blue Base is poorly made, chips easily and slowly disentigrates if moved about
Once out of the box I noticed the bottom showed brown paint over a concrete like substance. Unfortunately the material was not actual concrete and began to crumble ever so slowly. When a strong wind( 25 mph) blew the umbrella and stand over. It began to erode more rapidly. I ended up sweeping a lot of the composite off the deck. This would not happen with a metal base.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marie very strudy and easy to assemble umbrella base
Very heavy and sturdy. Very easy to put together. Note that you may have to take apart the top to remove a ring in order to insert a larger umbrella, which we had too. We have had some strong winds and its held its ground with the umbrella wonderfully!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dotpattern Umbrella base for patio table with a hole
The nut inside the base was incorrectly set at an angle, so the tube comes out at an angle. We didn't use the rings at the top of the tube, which gives some wiggle room so the umbrella will stand perpendicular the the floor.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by babygirlnumba1 PERFECT PATIO UMBRELLA BASE!
I bought this base to replace a super cheap water filled base that just wasn't doing the job. Though this base isn"t the fanciest looking base it does it's job with ease. I would highly reccomend this base to anyone looking for an umbrella base to use with their patio table. And for anyone reading these reveiws you must ignore the negative ones. The description for this base clearly states: (Base must be used under table with umbrella hole; Not for use with freestanding umbrellas) Most negative reviews are related to customers trying to use this as a free standing base, which it is not intended for

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vman Great functioning stand!
The design is simple and most importantly it has 2 ways to secure the umbrella. The normal screw down into the post and also the screw down sleeve at the top of the stand. The low profile of the stand also makes it less crowded under the table. The stand seems heavy enough and for the price it can't be beat!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hightopper Great for Southern CA
We bought 5 of these 2 years ago for a graduation party (to anchor 118" tilt umbrellas from a "swedish retailer").
We use 2 freestanding umbrellas for the dining table instead of one central umbrella for better shading. The other 3 shade lounging areas.
These bases are still going strong.
Light weight enough to easily move around the patio as the sun moves.
Heavy enough to use the tilt feature on the umbrella and it will stay upright.
Fade resistant, so far they look like new.
I agree with those who say a breeze will knock them over, but for SoCal these are perfect weight for the vast majority of the days you'd want to sit outside.
This was a great purchase at a great price for our purposes.
