I bought this small space heater because the temporary office space that I work out of is very cold. I needed something to keep under my desk that would take the bitter chill out of my workspace. There were several models available so I picked this model because it looked rugged and was at the upper price range for the heaters this size. I have used it for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that it works well for the purpose for which I purchased it. The temperature settings seem to be perfect for a small personal heater. You can set the temperature control to provide just a little stream of warm air to a pretty intense high heat setting. So far I am happy with the purchase because now my office is cozy and my hands and face are not turning blue. I am giving the unit 4 stars because it does not have an auto shutoff feature. If you leave it on it will run continuously. I accidentally left it on over the weekend and a thermostat control or timer would have been nice. The unit was still chugging and producing heat so it past the long and continuous use test. It seems to be made well however there is a little more plastic on it that I would prefer. The only metal parts on the exterior are the ventilated grill and top control bezel. There are only two controls that set the temperature in seven numeric gradations and and a control for switching the fan only, Low Heat, High Heat and Off settings. I also tested tip control that shuts the unit down if it gets accidentally knocked over. This safety feature seems to work just fine. All in all I would recommend this for anyone needed to heat up thier personal space. I would not recommend it for a very large room because the fan does not move allot of air. It seems to me that design is more for use as a personal heater. It's doing the job so far so the real test will come over time to see if can last through the winter months without issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasts 2 years I bought this heater to heat my bedroom at night. I only use it less than two weeks a year. Even though I kept it in the box indoors, one night I pulled it out and the knob wouldn't click to turn the heater on anymore. I thought since I had the receipt the warranty replacement would be easy. Nope! Patton says they won't do anything, try back in a month. (When I dont need heat anymore) DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, DONT BE LEFT IN THE COLD, DONT CHOOSE PATTON.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just bought yesterday this heater doesn't get seriously hot. if you put it next to you, you will warm up. however I left my room and went in the kitchen to cook and when I returned the room was nice and toasty.(1hr later. mind you I have a big bedroom, estimated at 12 by 15. its an add on so I do not think it is insulated. its the coldest room in the house with a fire place. keep the room door closed. currently its 45 degrees but last night it was 34. my room was not cold.

I kept it leaned over on a shelf so it would shoot heat toward floor. I used it last winter. This winter it did not work. I assumed it was due to getting a lot of dust in it. Then I bought another one this year which stopped working in less than 2 weeks. I am not sure if it is from dust or what. In other words, do not buy this heater if it will be near a dusty situation. If you are putting it in your house or a very clean garage or building then it should be fine for something the size of my building which is 7x7x7 and is insulated assuming that dust was the cause of it not working anymore.

Didn't have it running more than a couple hours a day and thermostat was turned down low. Didn't have receipt to return it. Strongly recommend against this poor product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So-so This wasn't what I expected. Output heat was not so great even on high. You felt more of the cold air being pushed out then warm air. If you have a small room this would b good, nothing bigger then 10x10 tho.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Heater I bought this heater for my wife's office. The heater has performed so well that other administrators staff bought the product. My wife loves the unit and it is so much better then her previous space heater.
