Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Built To Last Most modern appliances are not meant to be maintained or repaired, rather they are designed to be thrown away after a year or two. The Patton space heater is an exception. It's built to last. I've had mine for at least 10 years, and it's supremely easy to maintain. Just remove the 8 Philip head screws that secure the back panel and it's a simple matter to clean out any accumulated dust on the fan blade and motor. You may occasionally want to add a drop of oil to the motor bearing. After several years, the power cord on mine frayed and began to crack, however it was easily replaced. Simply unscrew the wire nuts affixing the old cord, install the new cord, and screw the wire nuts back on. February 24, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good for Medium room Bought this product for my bedroom. It warms the room quickly. I can control the temperature the way I want. One button allows me to control the temperature level, and with the other one I can switch from Low to High that enabling me to choose how fast and hot I want my bedroom to be. Very Safe. The box does not become hot when in use. Good product October 13, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Portable heater I like this heater, it keeps me warm here at work. I keep it maybe three feet from me and it puts out lots of heat. I would recommend it to a friend. I keep it on high and the thermostat works great, it comes right on when it starts to feel cold. I LIKE IT and I also have one for the bathroom at home for in the mornings getting ready for work. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by You get what you pay for... Heater is fine for maybe a bathroom or a small area that has absolutely no drafts. I put it under my desk at work and it barely warms my legs up. I bought two because they are small, unfortunately two will trip most circuit breakers. Does not get very warm at all. Maybe my two are not functioning properly but I am not impressed at all. They both work the same. Both at home and work. Good luck if you order one of these. January 18, 2007
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Inadequate Bought one of these to use while remodeling a small kitchen area. Other than the noise, you wouldn't know it was running. Looks rugged and "utilitarian," however, it's just a big metal case with a little fan and heating element. I wouldn't recommend this product for any size space and definitely wouldn't recommend it if you actually need it to produce heat. You get what you pay for with this heater. December 12, 2007
