CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overwhelmingly Impressed! If you are going to over seed an existing lawn, make sure to de-thatch the lawn first. This was a lesson I learned the hard way. I also strongly recommend seeding in the fall. However, this grass seed is usually in short supply in the spring and fall. I suggest ordering it when you see it in stock and saving it until the fall seeding. As you can see from my photograph, my backyard is now a beautiful dark green lush lawn! It was worth the time and money to use this seed mixture! November 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really impressed with this! After planting and watering this fall, the grass has grown really thick, lush and a beautiful green as opposed to neighbors' lawns where the grass has turned yellow... Can't wait to reseed where there were some sparse areas in the spring. I know this seed is very expensive compared to all others, but if it does what has been advertised on their website and the root system is indeed a foot or so and only watering once or twice a month-- you save big time in watering over the long haul. I live in Oklahoma where the summers are very hot and can be drought. I'm anxious to see how this new growth fares over the cold winter months into spring. Definitely excited about it, and I'm not even a yard person! Now I can say that I am :) The picture I am uploading is when it was new, now it is more like 3 inches and denser now. It has grown in places that no grass has ever grown before... Love it! December 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by After a year, still going strong. I just bought a second bag. The first planting is lush and green with very few weeds. I think had I planted a little more densely, I wouldn't have had any weeds. The bags are expensive but all of my neighbors' grass is dry looking while my lawn is green! I did spread some lime, fertilizer and water once so this isn't exactly a controlled study. I hope to gradually convert my whole lawn over to this low maintenance seed. May 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent low maintenance We seeded in early July last year (a terrible time to seed). However, we kept it as moist as we could...2-4 waterings/day. After 2 weeks, we were about to give up. At 3 weeks, both planted areas sprouted. By mid-August we had some pretty terrific-looking grass. I think we mowed it only once. Then we cut back on watering through late Aug and September and it still looked great. This was evidence to us that this stuff is low maintenance. We had a really rough winter which started in October and is still going through March. Extreme cold. However, my grass held up really well and it's already getting green. I need to overseed in some places this spring but overall, I'm extremely impressed. Get rid of the wasteful bluegrass and get this! March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sprouted in Just One Week! Their Web site tells you to keep your soil moist for the first 30 days. Due to a fortuitous weather pattern after we seeded, there were areas of my yard which stayed moist and out of direct sunlight - and in just one week, the sprouts were clearly visible! It remains to be seen whether or not the product will penetrate this NC Piedmont clay the 12-14 inches it advertises, but thus far I am well pleased with its performance. October 8, 2012
