Hi, HereAtHome.
I have attached a diagram of the parts of this faucet & part names for you to look at. The picture may be more helpful than my description of how to tighten the handles. :)
On page 3 of the PDF, you can see there is a screw on the inside ball/handle you can remove first, then the handle must be turned to the left & removed. There is another screw inside the handle. This should be where

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Faucet Excellent looking faucet. Quality construction with real brass guts. My plumber was impressed. Home Depot delivered it to me even sooner than I expected. Would recommend on-line purchases from Home Depot's courteous staff. Truly satisfied customer July 10, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by leak problem i was warned by my plumber about using brands other than moen and delta but didn't listen. the pegasus line puts out a great deal of fancy and hard to find faucets and they frequently sell in sets as well, so this is a convenience to shoppers. the brass piece on the inside of the faucet was our problem and it was not easy to find where the water was coming from. after we had it apart we noticed on the one side the finish was starting to come off. i will admit they are beautiful faucets etc however you definitely don't want to end up with a leak on a second story bathroom like we did. have problems with a shower faucet from pegasus as well. will stick with delta and moen------ March 8, 2011
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Finish Flakes Off! Bought 2 of these faucets in 2004 for our master bath double sink. These looked great for about 2 years but then I started noticing the finish on both faucets started flaking off! I don't use anything abrasive or harsh chemicals to clean them. Now, the exposed areas are pitting! Really wanted to love these faucets because I had looked Everywhere before finally finding a style that I really liked in these....BUT, spend a little more & read reviews people! I'm not the only one to mention this problem. The 5 star reviews, more than likely, come form people that haven't had them for very long. January 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by looks great, great water pressure but after time leaks The faucet looks great and water pressure is very good. However after about 8 years the faucet starting leaking underneath in the center section where the drain control rod comes through the unit. I noticed another review that reports the same problem. After a few attempts with the manufacturer and Home Depot they have agreed to replace the unit. November 20, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I purchased this faucet in August 2002 during a main bath remodeling because I liked the design, price and the brushed nickel finish. It performed mechanically well, however, after several years, the coating/finish slowly but steadily peeled/flaked off (like skin after a bad sunburn), and it developed a mottled discoloration which is very unattractive. I do not have hard water nor did I use harsh cleaners on it - just a poor quality product. Avoid this baby at all costs. February 19, 2007
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Leaks after a few years We bought two of these faucets a few years ago for a double vanity. This past June, we noticed a puddle under one of the sinks. Closer examination revealed that one faucet was leaking from the underside where the lift rod goes through the faucet. Thankfully it was replaced under their warranty. Now, several months later, the other faucet is leaking from the same place! These are nice looking faucets, but evidently Pegasus has a problem with quality. October 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by More trouble than it's worth Bought two for a Master Bath. of the two, the spout broke off one before it was ever installed. After 4 years, now one is spewing water through the pop up hole (which also means it's spewing water all over my stuff underneath in the cabinet below). Won't ever buy Pegasus again. October 18, 2011
