Answer:
If you are using the surface mount option, as I did, there are mirrors that attach to the sides of the cabinet. The mirror is mirrored on both sides, and the cabinet is mirrored. Plenty of mirror to use.

I called about this question. I ordered my cabinet, but have not received it. I called about this question. I ordered my cabinet, but have not received it. My concern was that if the rough in opening is 14.125" and the mirror is 24" wide, how will the door open with 5" of mirror on the hinge side? I thought maybe the box needed to be installed off center from the mirror's center, but that is not true. After talking to 4 people, I got an answer that made sense to me. If you click on the small picture, you can see that there is an extra metal panel on the hinge side, extending the hinge out from the box on that side of the mirror. Therefore, you can center the rough in for the box in the space where you want to install the mirror and the door will open without hitting the wall. Read Less

I want to use this as a make-up and jewelry holder in my master bedroom. The double-sided mirror would be perfect for this!
I want to install it above a tall dresser in my master bedroom and think it would look better sideways. So, can this be installed sideways? If so, can the included shelves still be used? If not, does it come in a round shape instead?
Thanks,

Answer:
No, this cannot be installed sideways as the door would not hold open if hinged at top or would be too heavy to hinge at the bottom.
All round medicine cabinets can be viewed on HomeDepot.com via the search method.

Answer:
Yes, it is all centered. It will work fine. Do your own measuring , though, because my fussy husband found that the enclosed documents did not have accurate measurements for the chest.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful! This is such a wonderful change from my old medicine cabinet. The oval mirror is beautiful, and the inside of the cabinet is all mirrored too! My mom is already talking to my dad about changing her bathroom, once she saw mine. I would and have highly recommended this! February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vanity Mirror with medicine cabinet I had a contractor install the mirror so I'm not sure how easy it was, but I love the way the mirror looks and the additional functionality of the medicine cabinet is terrific. The medicine cabinet seems really spacious! May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stylish, functional and a great addition to the ambiance of the bathroom I did not have to install it. However, my son did -- he is a very accomplished carpenter and can do anything with repair or install. I understand he had a difficult time putting this mirror up. However, he did get it done, and it does look beautiful. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful! I love this medicine cabinet! It looks so nice and is high quality. My handyman installed it as a recessed mount, and it looks beautiful. It makes the whole bathroom look more sophisticated. I cannot comment on the ease of installation, though, since I did not do the work. I hope it retains its good looks for a long time. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great except...... We had used it less than a week, and the little magnetic piece that holds the swing out mirror came loose. I am trying some two sided tape, and will let Home Depot know if it does not work.. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase My son installed this for me and he is an experienced remodeling person. He had no problems. All the parts were there, plus a small box of extra parts. My bathroom is beautiful with the addition of the mirror and the large medicine cabinet, plus it is metal, not fake wood. The inside is mirrored, the sides are mirrored. One of my best purchases from Home Depot. Plus delivery was a day before expected. The mirrored door opens easily and is mirrored on the inside. March 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good investment The mirror took a little longer than I expected to install and put together, but overall it was worth it. The mounting was very easy; but all the details (side mirrors, etc) took extra time. Overall, I love the look it gives my bathroom. July 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not installed yet, but great value The mirror has not been installed yet, but the price was great and delivery was lightning quick September 22, 2015
