Rated 4 out of 5Â by Travelingtacks Overall, nice upgrade
We purchased this vanity top separatelly from the cabinet. We knew marble required sealant and routine maintenance, so I opt for travertine stone instead, based on item description.
Reason for 4/5 starts; item description was misleading.
Description stated material was travertine, but upon online order checkout, receipt titled item as marble. Needing a top and not certain which information was correct, we did not cancel this order.
Item arrived w/in a business week. Was very well packaged and wrapped. Item is marble. Easy to install, will need to allow time for glue setting and sealant curing, 24hrs for each. Purchased sealant good for both travertine and marble stones. Will need to periotically re-seal (8-12mo). This item is located in high-traffic powder room.
Overall, very nice vanity top w/included basin.
(We chose Moen spot-free satin faucet)

This is such a nice top. Looks very classy in the bathroom.
It fit perfectly on the vanity and within the wall space.
In a previous review of the Cottage Vanity, I did mention however, that the coloration of the vanity and this top does not go well together. But I decided to keep it and work around the issue with the wall paint color.

This vanity countertop is beautiful. Exactly what i was looking for. It was on sale when I bought it, so I was a little concerned buying it online without seeing it first. Well worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Charles64 Very nice vanity top for the $$
This is a very nice vanity top for the price. We special ordered this item and the matching side splash thru the local store rather than online so we could inspect it before taking it home. The item took a little over a week to arrive at the store - faster than estimated. The color is a little darker than the picture - I would call it more beige than ivory. These are on display in some stores so you should be able to get a sense of this vs the noche color.
The travertine has more of a rustic look to it (some characteristic cracks and veins) but it matches the rustic tile we have in the bathroom.
Ours is not installed yet (waiting for the contractor to finish up another job). Be sure to use marble sealer for this - ideally put this on before it's installed (easier that way). This top looks like something you would see in a high end hotel. It's a little generic as far as color goes but it can go with a lot of color schemes. It will add a nice wow factor for our guest bath.
For the price this can't be beat - esp. since it has the sink included. Our contractor said that the sink alone would cost $75-100, and a countertop from a local granite place would probably cost several hundred dollars - approaching $1000 (depending on the type chosen). Also this item has a warranty if there are issues. We bought this to replace a pegasus granite top that started chipping and pitting after only a few months, and we were able to exchange it for this one (and pay the difference in cost of course).
We had an issue with the contractor using regular plumbers putty when installing the faucet on the prior (granite) countertop. The oils from the putty leached into the granite and stained it, but our contractor was able to "pull out" the stain using a mixture of plaster powder and paint thinner - worked like a charm - then they used the special putty for granite that does not stain. Not sure if marble has the same issue but we will investigate before installing this one.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Jules High quality vanity top
While this product is of very high quality, the color "Ivory Select" in the description is incorrect and should be changed. It is not ivory, but rather a dark beige or tan, almost brown. I've installed the vanity top, but I would not have ordered this product had I known about the color beforehand.
