Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Judy sorry I bought
Less than 6 months old and coating is peeling. Can actually lift off in sections. Very poor quality and was not cheap.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rusty Strainer basket falls apart
No problems with installation or leaking, but the strainer basket system is bad. The sink drains very slowly with the basket in place, and gets pushed down to closed with higher water levels. Handle to remove basket is plastic pressed on smooth metal shaft, and comes off continually after about 1 year of use.
In one instance the shaft of the strainer basket went down the drain. I needed to take apart plumbing to retrieve it.
Unable to buy replacement strainer baskets, must buy entire drain assembly (about 10x the price of other strainer baskets).
Color match with Pegasus sink is nice, but use should be restricted to model homes where no actual use will occur.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by djfred Installing Pegasus Kitchen Strainer-BEWARE
I purchased the Pegasus Kitchen Strainer 442-882 and proceeded to install it with a friend who is a very experienced handyman. DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PACKAGE. When installing the strainer into a Pegasus Composite Sink, the directions state to place Waste Sealing Gasket BETWEEN the Square Adaptor Plate and the Waste Body. ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT ALLOW WATER TO DRAIN OUT. It sits too high for water to run out. The rubber gasket THEY provide must go underneath the sink, just above the Plastic Underbody which is included. I checked with more than one plumber and all said the same as described above. So, be careful when you hear "when all else fails, read the instructions".

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rusty Design improved from several years ago
I reviewed this item in February, 2012, after having two units fail on me after two years. They have improved the design, and the stoppers seem more durable, and do not accidentally close.
Note that installation requires a 15mm (metric) socket. The instructions caution about overtightening, but do not specify a torque. It's pretty hard to know how tight the plastic assembly should be.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lexuschica Still looks brand new after a year!
I've had this installed for 1 year and it still looks brand new. I have it installed in a black granite sink and it matches well. The nice thing about plastic for once....is that the color doesn't rub off like the metal strainers do.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vivian Returned as it was purchased to match the sink.
I really did not like the plastic. Returned and purchased one that was stainless.
