Confused: Are inside shelves adjustable or not?

One close-up photo here appears to show rows of drill holes throughout the inside of the cabinet indicating the shelves can be moved. However the 3D version appears to have no holes? So which is it? I'd be looking to maximize the spacing of the three shelves per cabinet 'space' by using provided drill holes. Manufacturer reply really appreciated. :) Thanks,

The shelves do not come from the factory as adjustable. You could drill new holes though, but there are only 3 sets of holes behind each mirror. I just left a couple shelves out for larger items.

Can shelves be adjusted separately behind each door or does each shelf expand the entire width of the cabinet

I would like to be able to have one shelve behind one of the doors to be taller in order to accommodate a large bottle of Listerine. I do not want the taller shelf to expand the entire length of the cabinet.

Answer:
There is no provision for adjusting shelf spacing, but if you leave one shelf out in one section you should have plenty of space. One reviewer said he drilled extra holes to vary the distance between shelves, but to do that well, one would have to be very skilled. The shelf spacings are 6.75", 7.75", 7.75" and 6.5".

Answer:
Each glass shelf is for only that section of the medicine cabinet; comes with 3 shelves per unit (a Tri-View has 9 shelves). The shelves are adjustable individually, but there are pre-drilled holes, so the adj is limited to those pre-set locations. I could only use 2 shelves per unit so that tall things would fit (e.g. mouthwash, hairspray, etc.).

The shelf height and width is fixed at the factory....If you have tall bottles or spray cans you can leave out one of the shelves, but that is the only solution other than redrilling the holes for the shelf supports.

With clips that are supplied. The one down side I felt is that they are not adjustable. They go in fixed holes so some of my taller products won't fit. I made do and am quite happy with the product on the whole.

Is it possible to mount the cabinet partially recessed?

My current cabinet protrudes only about 2 inches. Is it possible to mount this cabinet half recessed and have it look OK? I'd have to attach the mirror sides somehow, and then build some wood trim around the edges to hide the opening?

Does the cabinet come with some kind of trim?

Answer:
You could mount it half recessed i suppose. It attaches to the studs with a small track, and 3 wood screws on the top and the bottom. The side mirrors attach with double sided tap to the mounting brackets (2 per side), which attach to the side of the mirror with 2 small sheet metal screws. You could slide the side mirrors into the wall and trim it out if you wanted to.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 110 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mirror cabinet So happy with this purchase. Beautiful all around. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice addition I like the cabinet, it replaced an old one that was here when I moved in. It took the contractor all day to install it. My only quibble is that the shelves are not adjustable but the inside mirrors are a nice upgrade so I am happy that I did it. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by More Beautiful and Functional Than Description Leads One to Realize Appearance and Function: The silver finish is beautiful. In addition to the mirrors on the front of the cabinet doors, beautiful mirrors are on the backs of the doors and on the inside of the back of the cabinet and, for the surface mount, on the outside of the sides. Reviewers noted that the distance between the shelves is fixed with no extra holes to adjust those distances. Those distances are 6.75", 7.75",7.75" and 6.5". For us, we found we had only one item that was too tall for the shelves. The glass shelves are of tempered glass. The shelf supports clamp the shelves from above and below, holding them firmly in place. When you push the doors to about 2/3 closed, they automatically finish closing themselves, very slowly and gently. Installation: The writers of the installation instruction probably did not have a very good command of English (or Spanish). I spent much more time trying to decipher the instructions and then figuring out what to do than I did doing the work. If I were to do it again, the whole process would take well under an hour. Two people are required for about 5 minutes when you are putting it up and securing it to the wall. It weighs about 80 pounds. Take care to get the bottom support in the right groove in the cabinet. That is one place that took a couple of tries For recessed mount, cutting the opening in the wall would be more work than the installation. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roomy and pretty I had a talented handyman/contractor install it single handed. Some may think its a two man job. I'm glad to have it. Was worried it might break on route, but no damage and has a nice metal frame.I thinks its worth the extra cost. Ads a bit of glits to my bathroom with mirrors inside and out, doors close slowly and has nice beveled glass. September 6, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice cabinet Very nice cabinet. Well constructed. Easy (but heavy) to install. Just take the doors off first. This should last as long as the house. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mirrored medicine cabinet Looks great over my new vanity with lots of storage. September 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Medicine cabinet, just wish a little more flexibility in shelf location This is a really nice quality medicine cabinet. I can't believe how much storage you get from it. The doors are soft close and it is very sturdy. The only complaint I have is I would of liked a little more flexibility in the shelf locations. The second picture shows how it looks when I turn on the Armacost RGB LED lighting. Love that lighting! January 31, 2016
