Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product All in all I am very happy with the product. There were a lot of complaints about the way they were packaged, but I thought it was great. I was expecting 35 boxes to show up at my front door. Instead they come in one regular box just stacked nice and neatly. I ordered the little connectors too and it made the whole project quick and easy. I had to order an additional 45 more to finish the staircase and the match was perfect. I will say though that the finish is more of a gray than a bronze. It worked in our favor because instead of being a great match for the deck, it was a great match to our gray house. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deck Rails I tried these rails on my new deck because I didn't want the run-of-the-mill wood rails. These are very easy to use and look fantastic. They all but disappear as I look out at the yard beyond them. Measuring the 4 1/2" on-center marks is a bit tedious, but being meticulous about it and making sure that both the top and bottom rail marks match and that the rails are centered makes the final installation very easy. I'm pretty handy, but I'm no professional. But the rails look like they were professionally installed. My wood was treated so it was quite damp when I brought it home. I let it dry out a few days before using it and some pieces developed a bit of warp, bow or twist. But the way the rails are installed they are pretty forgiving of those small twists and bows. I don't generally give things a 5 star rating, but I'm really pleased with this product. I rated the quality only good because I haven't had them long enough to see how they hold up through Michigan weather. Also, the screws are aluminum. That's great for not rusting, but they are a little weak, in my opinion. They seem sturdy enough, though, when the entire section is assembled. There's not a lot of give, even in the longer sections. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! These deck balusters are beautiful. They look great and make a deck really stand out as different. September 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product I replaced a railing made from pressure treated pine balusters with these aluminum ones, and I am very impressed. They went on easy enough (though the 4.5" on-center spacing was a little wierd to measure). The construction quality and powder coating is very good and uniform, and I feel like they will last a lifetime. The bronze color was a good choice, it goes well with brown color decks while hiding dust/dirt better than black would. I used the Pegatha 3/4" multi-purpose baluster connectors, they were slightly cheaper than buying these railings with the included connectors, and the angle on one side of the Pegatha's made it easier to line up the top rail when it was time to put it on. Plus you can do stairs with the same connector with no cutting. May 15, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent, but slightly different color We really love this set except for the color. They're high-quality and a great value, and we'd highly recommend them. However, the Pegatha "bronze" line is all on the grayish, opaque side, compared to other bronze finishes. It's not a bad color, and we are still very happy with the result for our deck, but it's different than we expected and had we been trying to match any other bronze decor, it really wouldn't work as well. As it it, we're very pleased - but if you're considering this just beware of the potential color issue. November 30, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple and classy I wanted something clean and simple that would work well with the slate veneer on the front of my house. The bronze tones were a perfect match, even my color-blind husband preferred them to the black balusters we initially looked at. Installed very easily using the pegatha baluster connectors. I like these so well I am considering using them on an indoor staircase railing. October 23, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a great product and looked marvelous installed! Originally had wooden pickets then rebuilt the deck with these aluminum ballasters. They look so much better and went together easily with the connectors. Extremely pleased with the results! June 19, 2012
