The 150qt Pelican cooler is heavy duty and just plain heavy. But no more than any of the other extreme coolers that I have looked at. Once you get it filled, you won't want to be moving this thing around much.
I've used this cooler as a main ice storage on long trips. Usually never leaves the trailer or vehicle. I have also used these coolers as over night storage and finishing of large amounts of BBQ beef for catering. It holds the heat in as well, and has not warped. I really like the handles and latches over the competitors'.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Johnny Ice melted in 3 days...
I purchased this cooler thinking it was comparable to the yeti and similar brands out there, at a much better price. Man, was I wrong!
After 3 days in the sun, 95 degree temp., over 120 lbs of ice has completely melted. The cooler was opened twice during these 3 days. I am very disappointing and will be returning this cooler and purchasing a yeti. I've had experience with the yeti holding ice for over 3 days in the direct sun/heat and barely any ice melting.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EDRO BIG, better yet "HUGE" cooler!!
I love this cooler! It's the size of a dock chest. Bulky, heavy and two people are needed once you load it. But, it's perfect for those hot days fishing offshore. Also perfect for hurricane season when we lose power and need to keep "all" of the food from the fridge cold. It's the same or better quality than the Yeti and the Yukon, made in the USA and half the price. Home Depot daily special deal was 30% off. I will but another if they go on sale again.
