Answer:
The center button is for fan speed HI and lo and for fan to cool heater off before shut down. The button to the right is temp up the one to the left is for temp down. The button to the far right is for fan oscillation and the one to the far left is for the timer on or off. Tom

Answer:
It's not a traditinal on/off power button, however, there is a big center button that switches between High/Low/Fan. If you push it 4 times, it goes into a 15 second countdown and then turns off completely (push it once for high, twice for low, three times for fan and then the fourth push goes into the 15 second countdown for shutdown).

Answer:
No - 1500 watts can only heat so much. A room or two, if they're connected, YES, but an entire level of a good sized house - NO.
It does a nice job in my bedroom, 300 sqft with 2x6 and well insulated, and IF your 1500' were built similarly, it MAY make a difference, but instead I'd turn up the furnace a tad.
Frankie - did you have success with one unit?

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 64 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Pure Junk, Keep on looking!! I'm in the construction trades, and my office is a converted 7' x 14' cargo trailer. I bought this heater to use in the trailer and what a piece of junk it is. The air temp in the trailer is 42 degrees, and this heater thinks it's 80 and shuts off. The housing gets warm and fools the units temp sensor into believing its warmer then what it is. It actually spent more time cooling then it did heating the air. Now before someone thinks I had this unit in a bad spot, it was on top of a small fridge far enough away from walls and other objects where it was completely in the clear and safe to use. I used it for half of a day, and returned it on my way home from work. Do yourself a favor, and keep looking!! January 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Keeps our patients warm!! Much need for patient exam rooms!! Heats up quickly!! March 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room Heater. The heater did a good job of heating our bedroom. The only drawback is that the thermostat was not accurate and had to be set about 5 degrees over what you wanted the room to be. Other than that it did a good job. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome heater!!! We use 2 of these heaters to heat an uninsulated garage, in the winter, in Ohio. These are awesome heaters and they keep the garage at a comfortable 50-64 degrees! I highly recommend this product! March 11, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Keeps turning off I can set the thing for an 8-hour day. It shuts off after about 10 minutes. It doesn't just cycle on and off - it just completely shuts off. Have not had time to return it at this point. February 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Fan Heater The heater is very limited in performance. I turned it on and waited immediately in front of the heater for it to blow hot air. It never got past luke-warm. It doesn't blow hard at all. The heat it produces is just out of 'cool' range. The heat cannot be felt more than 5 feet away from the fan-heater. I returned the item the next day after testing it again. I would not recommend this product to anyone. February 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great heater! Pelonis heaters really do a great job and look nice. February 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product, serve the purpose that I needed it for The heater was easy to use, take up very little space. Perfect to heat my bathroom February 10, 2016
