Where is the off button??

It didn't come with a manual. I was able to turn it on but not off without unplugging it. Thanks, Eric
Asked by: EGBERT15
It's the center button, same as the on button. To turn it off, you press the button about three times, until there are no words showing, and then it will count down to zero and turn off. It says to unplug it as well.

Customer Reviews

1500-Watt Digital Fan Forced Electric Portable Heater is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pelonis portable heater. Heater has performed well for us. I like the features of having a oscillate back and forth as well as having a fan feature included with the heater feature, that way you can use it year-round. Only slight negative thing is the setting of the temperature. Just follow the instructions, there's an up and a down button. Either one will and take you to the temperature you wish to have. Then stop. Example: set to 74 degrees. Once you start, the read out will begin flashing indicating the Ambit temperature. If it's only 72 the heater will come on and run until it reaches the degrees which you have set, 74, at which time the heater will shut off then the digital readout will continue flashing at 74 degrees. If it dropped below there, it will come on again. This is a little bit different than any other controls that I've used but, it's a piece of cake once you understand it. Read the directions several times and suddenly it will come to you. Trust me. :-) Enjoy your new heater

Bought it for my pickup camper, will not heat area above 60, when it gets cold, hovers near 46 degrees. It would serve as an under desk, in an office, to keep feet and legs warm maybe.

Our downstairs bathroom is always cold during the winter and this product heats it very well and in a reasonable amount of time. I love its compact size and ease of use. The only aspect about it that bugs is that when you plug it in you can have a starting temperature of 40 or 95 degrees, and then you have to adjust it down to something reasonable. It should automatically start somewhere in the middle, say 70 degrees. If you keep it plugged in then it remembers the last temperature you set it at.

I've only had this heater for a short time, so I can't speak on the reliability, or how long it will last. It does what it says it will do. I use it in the bathroom. I have not used the timer, but the thermostat seems to work nicely.
