Is this safe for dogs?

Asked by: Jatkinson
Yes but I suggest lightly rake the area where you want the grass first then seed then cover with soil because birds will eat it then water every two days

10 lb. Annual Ryegrass Seed is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but....what next? So HD staff weren't too helpful. Okay not helpful at all. We were getting our house ready to go on the market and planted rye because it would come in fast. Lawn looks great. But we haven't sold our house. So we asked staff about transitioning the lawn - now what can we plant when rye starts to die out? (That is in Atlanta in June). Staff offered no suggestions. Anyone else have some?

I needed to get grass cover quickly and this grass was lush in about 2 weeks. It rained pretty much everyday after I planted it so that may have helped. I also planted regular grass too, mixed in with it. That grass is still short and sparse in the picture (It is the grass with the straw still showing). So if you want a quick growing one season grass, this works great.

I purchased this product two years in a roll realizing this product does not resist any drought at all. I live in NJ and planted the seeds in the fall. It germinated nicely, however, they all died at the end of summer in the next year while the old lawn survive nicely. I did regular irrigation about 2 in. a week. I would not recommend to buy this product.

It was not the best time to plant grass, but this was when I needed to do it. It was not practical to water the area that I planted, so had to rely only on rain. Fortunately it rained some after planting, and I got a good stand of grass in a short time. Happy with product.

I followed directions and I have watered daily but thus far no grass has grown. I am not giving up and will keep trying.....it has been a very hot spring here in Florida.
