They have recommendations of seed spread on the container itself, but personally I would use two 10lb buckets. You want to get a consistent spread and thick enough that there is enough left on the ground, after the birds eat it :- )

The 10lb. pail of Pennington Pensacola Bahia will cover 4,000 square feet. A 50x50 area is 2,500 square feet so you would apply a little over 6lbs. of the seed to cover your space.
Thank you

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Really nice product very quiet. Sleek look. Service was great from sales to delivery. April 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst product ever I planted this seed ( so called seed, it was a ton of there so called fertilizer/antifungal mix and very little seed) I fertilized it and watered it. nothing ever came up. I contacted them they told me it needed to be watered 3/4times a day for 10min at a time. I said no your product is just junk. Here in South Carolina it grows natural ( like a weed). They use it for grass on the shoulders of the road. they dig it up and it still comes back by itself. They plant it and never water it and it comes in so thick and full. I have planted Bahia grass before and never had trouble. Don't waste your time or money on this brand of seed. August 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great for Florida lawns put it in early before the high heat comes or in the fall get it to start and next spring it has a better chance, just add it to your grass and it will fill in and come up good, remember care is what it needs.... June 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Could you say 2% germination? Basically $56 went to trash. I racked the soil, fertilized it, I even installed an auto sprinkler system that watered 4 times 15 minutes every day! did not see any grass pop-up. May 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Have Always Used This and Have never Been Dissapointed Rake the dirt enough so that it is loose. Sprinkle generously. And water every day for the first couple weeks and than about twice a week until the grass comes up. Been using this for many years and always have had excellent results. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grass seed Took well to raked soil and sprouted after a good rain storm. Just waiting for the grass to fill in know October 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthless. Does not germinate. Three weeks after application with regular water/rain, zero sprouts are seen. Total waste of $50. Do NOT buy. April 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price Tested the seed with a small bag from TS. Grows great in Bandera county and the cows like it. Home Depot had the best price on it per pound even with shipping. July 24, 2012
