I bought a dozen of these, with saucers, to plant arecas that line the driveway. They look great, and the clay helps hold moisture which the plants love. I plan to get some more for blooming flowers and herbs.
Excellent value. Cheap plastic and resin pots of this size cost more, yet aren't as durable and attractive IMO. They ARE heavy to move around, though - I used a plant coaster that I had to make things easier on myself.

Terra cotta of this pot has a nice finish. Haven't had it for very long, but it's price was EXCELLENT compared to terra cotta pots of comparable size I've seen at nurseries.

Typically a pot at this size and price, advertised as "terracotta", is typically talking about the color, and then you get a big plastic pot. This is the actual material. I was able to use 2 of them, and a couple grill grates, and create a huge bbq smoker.

I selected this pot for its attractiveness and because I needed it for a large cactus. The thick clay walls keep the cactus roots from getting too hot or too cold. The smooth dense terra cotta wears well in all kinds of weather. I have had this pot in freeze thaw conditions for the past ten years and it still looks terrific.
