Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WebMosby So far so good, also used a poly box inside for durability.
We wanted these boxes because they looked very nice. Yes, the quality of these are okay... they could be better for how much they charge for these. We have now had them for two months.
So far so good. What we ended up doing is first, we lined the inside of the box with plastic and punched holes in the bottom to drain. We then put one row of empty egg cartons or plastic bottles along the bottom. We then used a plastic poly window box that we purchased at HD for $10 which fit perfectly. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Dynamic-Design-Newbury-7-68-in-x-36-in-Black-Poly-Window-Box-with-Saucer-NW3612BK/204499179?keyword=684143015536 or Store SKU # 482773. We then used soil and planted the flowers inside the poly box.
This setup puts no strain on the box itself and the box is more or less for looks. It looks fantastic from the street and I feel this should hold up over time. I will adjust my rating

I purchased three of these planters. I noticed one was coming apart at the corners before I planted it so I put in a couple of screws. I figured it was probably just a defective one. After I filled and planted the other two they also started to pop open at the corners. Repairing a filled and planted planter was not easy and I really don't expect these to last the rest of the season.

Very pleased when I purchased the planters. Seemed well constructed, good color. After one month they are separating at the bottom. I didn't even fill them up with soil. I rated the over all unsatisfactory, because they haven't held up as I would have expected for the price. Also, I saved the product description card that was attached and can't find information to contact the company. Is it Pennington or Central Garden and Pet. Frustrated.

I've had the product for about 2 months and it's faded, cracked and falling apart...i loved it at first. for the money i paid I'd rather buy plastic / clay and have it last a season

These wooden planters have the rustic look I was after. I have several of different lengths that I turn upside down to set some of my potted plants on (to be able to vary the heights of plants on the deck). I know it's not the way they're intended to be used, but it works, and none of the boards have come loose even with large potted chysanthemums sitting on them.
