Answer:
Hello,
Recommended spreader settings are listed on the bag. In the event your model of spreader is not listed you will want to apply 1 lb. of seed for every 400 square feet.
Thank you

I planted my entire yard (top soil) with seed last year having good success. There are a few bare spots due to shade but overall very satisfied.

Is it a good idea to reseed the yard completely or just the bare spots. The grass is established and I'm thinning out the weeds before fertilizing.

Thanks

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We reached out to MFG for more information and below is their response.
“ The entire area may be overseeded if it is thin, however this may not be necessary. If you only have a few bare areas, we would recommend only seeding in these areas. "

Hello,
Generally over-growing isn't the best way to replace a lawn. Centipede grass is a dense, slow growing grass.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 5 lb. Centipede Grass Seed and Mulch 5 lbs should have covered my entire yard but it barely did my front yard and then very little of the grass grew. I was very disappointed especially since it was so expensive. June 7, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My lawn is absolutely beautiful with Pennington centipede! Using Pennington Centipede with mulch made my grass growing project easy and very successful. With the excessive rain and care given the results were very favorable! This is the only brand I used on my front lawn and I am so glad I did! Thanks, Pennington! August 27, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Product I can only state the details of my purchase of Pennington Centipede grass seed and you can make your own determination. Purchased a five pound bag of Pennington Centipede grass seed and planted same as directed on the package. No growth results after two months. In accordance with the warranty instructions on the package, I sent the empty package, the sales receipt, a full description of the seed failure, and photos of the planted area, to Pennington Customer Service. The seed package states that the seed is guaranteed and subject to a full refund. Have never received a reply from Pennington, it has been over two months. No seed germination yet. Good luck if you ever buy a Pennington product. October 11, 2015
