I have st agustine gras which I dott like over time will it choke it out

Asked by: gene
Yes, it will choke it out. Centipede grass "runs" or invades other grasses and will take over in areas that receive ample sunlight.

What setting should I set my Spreader on for this seed?

Asked by: Terry
Hello, Recommended spreader settings are listed on the bag. In the event your model of spreader is not listed you will want to apply 1 lb. of seed for every 400 square feet. Thank you

2nd season overseed

I planted my entire yard (top soil) with seed last year having good success. There are a few bare spots due to shade but overall very satisfied. Is it a good idea to reseed the yard completely or just the bare spots. The grass is established and I'm thinning out the weeds before fertilizing. Thanks
Asked by: Locutions
agreed, only the very thin and bare areas

5 lb. Centipede Grass Seed and Mulch is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from pennington centipede grass seed Works best when temps are constant 75°, other than that, seeds won't germinate and will die if the ground is to cold. Also use a seed spreader for best results and water daily.

I followed instructions as best as possible for soil preparation, sowing the seed, and keeping the soil moist. The seeds sprouted in about 2 weeks, less time than I expected. I planted sort of late in the season, mid June, so had to contend with some high heat and lack of rain. I watered the planted area thoroughly once a day on days in which there was no rain. Am VERY happy with the results, though probably should have planted a little thicker. The moisture retaining mulch in the mix seems to have been a very relevant factor in my final results.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No grass Unfortunately we have not had the results we hoped for when I bought and seeded our lawn. A lot of money for this product considering the majority of the 5lb bag I believe was mulch, not seed!
