I had 1600 square feet of new soil on a slope and wanted to get it stabilized before the fall rains. I planted two bags in mid-july which is hot as the dickens here in Texas. I watered every day and never let the soil dry out. Germination began at 12 days and now a month later it is starting to spread. I continue to keep the surface damp and I feel like this is why it worked for me. I am buying more today to overseed an existing lawn that I damaged with broadleaf weed poison. Rake it in and keep it wet folks.

Never got any germination. Purchased to overseed bare spots in Zoysia lawn. Not one area produced any germination. This is a big waste of money. Spend the money and use plugs or sod.

I just planted this product a month ago so I can't see any growth. This does not surprise me as I planted Zoysia grass plugs several years ago and it was three growing seasons before they spread out and took over that part of my yard. Love the Zoysia grass because it is so east to maintain. It just takes a lot of patience to grow it.

I am very pleased and surprised how thick and dense it grew in. I started by killing the grass in my yard after a week I put down some cheap soil, seeds and starter fertilizer and then added about a 1\4 inch of Kellog's topper. After a little over a week I started seeing sprouts, all I had to do was water. Once the grass starting getting taller and thicker I added more seed to any bare or thin spots. Now the grass is like walking on soft carpet. I attached a picture just to show how thick it grew in. Project was done in Fort Worth, TX

I'm growing my Zoysia in small dirt gutters between large pavers and I didn't really have a lot of confidence that they would sprout in the dry clay soil. I planted them under 1/4inch garden soil and after 2.5 weeks, they've popped up. I'm prepared to be patient, as everything I've read about Korean grass says it takes a long time.
