Answer:
Hello,
It will depend on your local climate. Bluegrass is a cool season turf. It can do well in transitional zones but won't thrive as well in warmer southern climates.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We reached out to MFG for more information and below is their response.
“ Kentucky Bluegrass is a cool season grass and will go dormant once temperatures reach 90 degrees or above for an extended period of time. As this variety matures and establishes it will go dormant less often and for shorter periods of time. "

Can Livestock graze on a pasteur of this seed ?
Some seed companies that put a fungicide shield on the seed specifically state "No - not to be used for Livestock grazing " , since the animals can't digest it, and it interferes with stomach , they can die from the coating put in the seed to fight disease by human intervention in the seeds chemistry structure, when used in a pasteur?

Answer:
Hello,
Smart Seed Kentucky Bluegrass is intended for use as a turfgrass. You should not use it for grazing. Besides the anti-fungal coating It won't have the nutritional content horses, cows, and other grazing animals will need. You should look into forage grasses and legumes to make sure your animals are getting the proper diet.

Answer:
Hello,
The exact seed blend in a bag of Smart Seed Kentucky Bluegrass will vary based on the region and time of year. An example of a blend in the bag would be a combination of Ridgeline Kentucky Bluegrass, Brooklawn Kentucky Bluegrass, Monte Carlo Kentucky Bluegrass, and Mallard Kentucky Bluegrass. Each bag of seed will list the specific blend of seeds.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by never again I bought over a $1000 dollars worth of seeds for my lawn and it didnt produce nothing. Had soil ph tested before planting seeds and it tested good. Did everything i needed to do and followed instruction and still got nothing. its been over 6 months now and on thing that grew was my water bill. July 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Expensive but great Needed a quick fix for my grubs and grubex. Pennington is great May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely good grass seed! Who ever says this isn't good seed needs to study. The key is prep if you throw it down on weeds chances are you will not have a nice lush lawn. Use a starter fertilizer that will control weeds for a while so that the seedlings don't have to compete. Pay close attention to weed growth and pull out as they pop up IF they pop up. Put down extra birds will love your lawn for a while I used a lawn roller half filled with water to bed in the seeds. keep a eye on thin spots and spot treat lastly WATER WATER AND WATER!!! keep the lawn as moist as possible with out too many puddles. I also reccomend having your soil tested to determine what needs to be added to make your conditions optimal University of Delaware does it in this area pretty cheap $10 April 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Be Patient to See Results The product works very well but you must be patient. After 2 weeks, I saw minimal growth and was quite upset. After another 2 weeks, the thickness of the lawn is beyond my expectations. I didn't water every day like the instructions suggest but there was a significant amount of rainfall during the growth period. April 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Great product. Seeds started to germinate within 10 days after seeding in early September 2015. By October all area was green. This spring still green and started in grow longer. April 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not the best purchase ever Had my lawn irriated and spread Pennington seed with a broadcast spreader, however that was over 6 weeks ago and had no signs of new grass December 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by it grows Planted the seed according to instructions, and got perhaps 50-75% growth. Somewhat disappointed, because I will have to re-do it again, but it wasn't a total fail neither. I guess for the price, I expected better. December 11, 2015
