Works good, covered with a light coating of top soil, and placed some old screens over to keep the birds away. About a week and half later I had results.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dk Worked well in Murrieta, CA
I used this seed with Kellog Garden Organics Topper Lawn Soil. First I took away all the weeds, then put the thin layer of Kellog Topper Lawn Soil on top of the bare patch, then put the seed and mixed it in the lawn soil with my fingers (I used quite a lot of seed to make sure it grows, because other seeds failed to grow before). I seeded at the end of November in Murrieta, CA. I watered with a hose 3 times a day (just to keep the soil wet all the time). In about 10-14 days all the seeds sprouted and now the grass is growing well. The temperatures were around 55-75 during daytime and 35-50 at night.

We purchased the seed right before the last rains so we could get it in the ground and take advantage of the rain. We already see some growth and are very happy with the seed purchase.

I had run out of this grass seed and borrowed some of the same from neighbor. It was working well in his yard. After I borrowed some from him and went and bought the same for myself. Works well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PeterH9 Thick, dark green grass
This grass seed sprouts in a week, and it grows thick and dark green. We believe that it needs less water and tolerates drought. It may even need less mowing. We like it a lot.
