Answer:
You can install over vinyl as long as the vinyl is secure to the floor and not curling up.

Answer:
It depends on the condition of the vinyl.
Laminate floors are designed to install right over most vinyl floors.
The measurement company should be able to advise while on site.

Answer:
no you don't half to.If it was my floor I probably would remove it. Is going over concrete or wood sub floor? If wood I would make sure your floor is secure and flat. A solid floor will make the difference in installation. If concrete clean prep floor including using floor leveler. The more you prep and secure the better the quality.

Thank you for contacting Pergo. Here are the cleaning instructions for your floor. To clean, an occasional damp (not wet) mop, quick sweeping or light vacuuming with the hard floor attachments are usually all it takes. When damp mopping, an Ideal solution is a combination of 1 gallon of water with 1 cup vinegar or ½ cup of ammonia. Be sure to squeeze the water out of the mop thoroughly before mopping, and rinse the mop frequently. A spray bottle with the same water and vinegar/ammonia solution mentioned above is a great way to spot clean between moppings.
Pergo floors must never be waxed, polished, sanded or refinished and never use a steam, wet or jet mop when cleaning. Do not use soaps, detergents, or cleaners with wax because they may leave a film, dulling the floor.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great flooring 10 years ago I had this flooring professionally installed in every area of my house except the bedrooms. The flooring has lasted extremely well. I just installed this flooring in 2 of my bedrooms myself. I was amazed at how easy it was to install and work with. The way the flooring snaps together really makes it solid and looks great January 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pergo laminate flooring bought online! The flooring is easy to install and i had no problems! My only concern is that this one doesn't get discontinued!! my last two where and this is my closes match!! My other problem was that 5 pieces of flooring were damaged on the outside edge! it worked out that i used them in the last row and trimmed it off as scrap! Only one bad piece left! February 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by would not buy again the floor is separating and it has fine scratches on it when I bought it I was told it would not scratch and the molding is cracking would never buy this again not holding like I was told it would it comeing up at the corner were were its comes together February 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks and wears great Looks great. Online it looked too busy so I was nervous but installed is perfect. I've dropped several things and moved furniture across it and hasn't made a scratch. I prefer hardwood-feel and this is much smoother and not as "thick feeling" but you get that with all laminates so nothing to be done about that June 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by colors better than picture Laminate has come a long way. It looks alot more like real wood. Installation was tedious but not difficult and a few pieces were defective so always order more. What a difference from the carpet -- the room looks alot bigger. November 18, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks fabulous! We couldn't be happier! Our floors look fabulous and work well with our combinations of both dark and light furniture. Others have said that it is slippery, but we do not find it slick. The sheen is perfect to make it look beautifully clean, and the varied shades mask the dirt brought in by the grandkids and pets. We cannot seem to scratch it even when we tried on the extra pieces. We couldn't be happier. July 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good Presto shipped it strait to my home. It was easy to install, I didn't have any issues. The floor looks great. I had some extra left over and was able to make an easy return of the ones I didn't use at a Home Depot store near me. July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful flooring The variations in color in this floor make it so that it matches well with all wood furniture. Our light wood dining room furniture and our dark wood living room furniture both looked great with this floor. Easy to install over the premium grade underlayment we purchased. However, we really needed a rubber mallet, block of wood and a pull tool and didn't know this. It could be mentioned on the web site or in the store to help out. We went in the store to look at it and make our color decision, but used the free shipping for delivery and didn't want to drive the 2.5 hrs just to go back for a little tool. August 2, 2011
