Answer:
Horribly. Mine has warped edges and puckers from puppy accidents and around the bird cage where the parrot takes his bath and splashes water on the floor. Can't say the kitchen pergo is any better from splashes from the kitchen sink and dishwasher. I had 1200 sq ft of this installed and would not recommend.

NO. Pet urine if not caught immediately will cause the flooring to warp along edges.
Pergo take the dog of the packaging. I will never use this product again!

Had same exact problem with likely the same run of floor from the manufacturer right before Thanksgiving. We had hired Home Depot's installations services and installer said it was defective flooring. We had a lot of run around to get it resolved, but flooring installed today at least doesn't have near as many of those faulty edges as we had originally dealt with around Thanksgiving. Report it so they know it's a problem with the run. It's a quality control problem with the beveled edge style of Pergo. Read Less

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing trouble with your floor. If the joints are not locked together properly, it can cause problems down the road. I would suggest you contact your store and ask to file a warranty claim.

Answer:
Thank you for contacting Pergo. You can install Pergo directly over Ceramic Tile. We would recommend that a vapor barrier be used between the tile and the laminate if there is a concrete subfloor beneath the tile.

Thank you for your interest in Pergo. You can install laminate over tile without removing the tile. A moisture barrier should be used between the tile and the laminate if there is a concrete subfloor.

suppose to interlock but after installation we had problems with what looked like product defects that caused planks not to have come together well...would not recommend this product...800sq foot floor riddled with corners that look like they will chip or blister easily in future...

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 116 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. This product is thus far surviving a toddler and dog. The quality of the Pergo is great and the 10mm thickness feels very strong. The medium wood color is great. All I need was my miter saw and moisture barrier for this project. The underlayment is already attached to the bottom of the laminate. June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfied This is a nice looking product and installation is fairly straight-forward. Time will really tell on the quality but I only rated it good because some of the locking tabs were easily pulled off. The top plank of each box had damaged underlayment as there was no cardboard on this side. An actual lid for the box would have gone a long way in protecting the product. I did not return them or file a claim as I could use some of them and will save the rest for any necessary repairs. Completed floor does look very nice. I am satisfied and would recommend this product. February 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful flooring...can't believe it's not real wood! I'm a first-time DIY'er when it comes to flooring. This flooring was relatively easy to install...just needed to remember to measure twice before cutting. The appearance of the finished floor was way beyond my expectations...more beautiful than wood, and tough as nails. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent flooring This product was a real find. It's reasonably priced while looking amazing with the upmost quality. August 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great!! We are landlords and have put down all sorts of flooring but so far we like this one the best. Time will tell if it holds up to high traffic dens and kitchens. Love love love the color. Not too light or too dark and blended well with some other hardwoods that were in other parts of the house. Installer said it was easy to put down. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replaced existing flooring in our kitchen about a month ago. So far we are very pleased with the way it looks. For the most part installation was easy until it came to installing under kitchen appliances that could not be moved. Biggest problem was trying to get end snap connection and side connection together under an appliance. Overall we are very happy with the appearance of the new floor. Will definitely use it again when we do another room. May 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this product This is the 4th laminate floor I've installed and the 2nd Pergo floor. I've used 2 different colors and love the look of both. I prefer the style that looks like individual boards. Out of 14 boxes there was one slightly chipped board that I used in my starting row, and one board that had a slightly damaged corner which I was able to use in my ending row. I love the way the boards fit together and the finished look is great. I chose Pergo because the joints seem stronger than other brands I looked at. My only complaint is the transition pieces available at our Home Depot. I always have to go with a "close match" instead of the same color as my floor. Previous transition pieces had several options to handle different types of floor coverings, but this latest one didn't and couldn't be installed using the instructions. I'm a 68 year old female. May 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation and beautiful! I had purchased a lower quality laminated flooring from home depot. When we tried laying it out, we had all kinds for problems and became very frustrated. I returned the unopened packages and purchased the Pergo Alexandria Walnut laminated flooring. It was easy to install in the 5 x7 powder room and a long hallway in less than a day. It looks wonderful and great to walk on. Next time I will remember to invest a little bit more for quality.
