Customer Questions & Answers

Quarter Round questions?

I have two questions with this: 1) I have existing baseboard trim over carpet. Can I just lay the flooring "under" the baseboards, therefore filling the gap and making quarter round not necessary? 2) My existing trim is white (throughout the house). Do I use white quarter round, or the quarter round that matches the floor?
Asked by: RachelP
Depending on the thickness of baseboard you may not need to add. the required 3/8 space was too much for ours so we added shoe trim to the baseboards to cover possible gap showing and allowing floor to move. The shoe trim matched the base boards and adds a little contour to it which looks nice.

can you wet mop

Asked by: Anonymous
Damp mopping is all that's required . Don't subject it to excessive moisture.

If need be, can a plank be replaced after the floor is installed? Is a special tool required?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes ,but it would be a LOT of work, I would repair it and learn to like it if at all possible 1st. To take a plank out of the middle you would have to take out half the floor and trim to get back to that point.

Coordinating Moulding

What moldings and stair nose would coordinate with this? Is it possible to get trim samples? Thanks..
Asked by: Gordy
There is moulding that goes along walls, wider moulding for doorways, and even moulding to lay down at thresholds. You can save a bit by simply telling them you want the floor installed under the threshold.
