Yes you can use Pergo in bathrooms as long as you install it according to the instructions. We installed it in our bathroom ourselves several weeks ago, it looks and feels great!

Hello grady and thank you for your question.
Grady this is from the Pergo's installation guide. It appears that Pergo can be installed in bathrooms but some additional steps need to be taken to prevent water from getting in under the floor.
2. BATHROOM INSTALLATIONS—Because the Pergo
surface is resistant to water, Pergo laminate flooring
can be installed in bathrooms. However, it is very
important to prevent water or moisture from getting
under the floor.
Installation in bathrooms must be made in accordance
with the following instructions:
a. The expansion spaces, all expansion spaces,
between the Pergo flooring and walls, the doorway
transition or other fixed objects such as pipes for
radiators, sinks, water supply to water closet or toilet
flanges MUST be sealed with Pergo Sealant or 100%
mildew-resistant silicone.
b. The space around the perimeter of the Pergo floor
must be
3
⁄8" wide and sealed prior to installing the wall
trim. The
3
⁄8" expansion space must be completely
filled with sealant to avoid water getting underneath
the floor.
c. When Pergo flooring is installed in a bathroom and
an adjoining hall or room, a T-Molding must be
installed in the doorway between the rooms or hallway and the expansion space under the T-Molding
must be filled with the proper sealant. Place sealant
in the expansion space of any flooring transition in
the doorway of a bathroom.
d. Pergo must not be installed in rooms with a floor drain.
e. Pergo must not be installed over any floor that has a
sump pump—i.e. should there be a bathroom at a
below grade level or on-grade concrete slab in the
home and a sump pump is located on that belowgrade level flooring or on the on-grade level subfloor,
then Pergo flooring cannot be installed anywhere on
that floor.
f. Standing liquids should not remain on the surface of
a Pergo floor. Standing water is defined as water that
has set on the surface of the flooring for longer than
30 minutes.
Hope this helps,
George How-to-Community. Read Less

The 10.00 is for a small sample piece. If you order a box (which includes 8 boards) the price per board is much less than 10.00 per board.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'm no expert I'm not a flipper or interior designer I'm just a person who owns a condo. I put this flooring down and it looks amazing and I have 4 animals. They like it too. Stuff is tough and great looking. Water will damage anything if you arent careful. Make sure you wipe up water ASAP (keep extra boards if you plan or installing in kitchen or bath). I would not recommend putting this in your kitchen or bath where you might get a water leak from faucet or ice maker. If water gets under the boards they will bubble just like any wood or laminate. I made a great decision when I bought this design. The floors make my other colors pop. I would recommend this product. October 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Samples should be free! Overpriced for just a sample. Smaller than I expected and arrived with a chip on it. We liked the color though and ordered/installed the flooring anyway. It's gorgeous. October 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very durable...loads of compliments We live on a lake and our house is shaded by many trees, so I wanted a whitewashed, rustic look to brighten up the main areas of the house and be durable enough for four cats and two kids... Hardwoods just get so scratched up and damaged, these are awesome. We had them installed about a year ago, and I only saw one small corner worn a bit but that's it. Coastal Pine hides dirt really well too, and when guests come over they all mention how absolutely gorgeous the floors are. August 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Kind of shocked We Bought this for our kitchen, installed in June of 2013. I understood this was durable, and tough. There isnt a lot of traffic in the area, It's a kitchen but there are only two of us here. No dogs, no kids. And yet, the edges are warping. I thought for the price we paid it would last longer than a year and a half...The warps are fairly significant, and noticeable. QUITE disappointing. I bought this house in 1994 and saved till 2013 to finally get the kitchen upgraded from the original 1939 hole in the floors and walls mess we had. It took a long time.. and only a year and a half until we again have to replace something that took us years to get. It was a bad choice clearly. March 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking floor! The sample gave me a good idea of the look of the floor. April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough stuff! I love my Pergo XP flooring. I was worried about how laminate would hold up to dogs running on it daily, but it's been 6 months and though they have just about worn out the rug lying over a portion of the flooring in the living room, the flooring has held up exceptionally well throughout my home. Now ask me again in a year or two. Water spills are not the disaster I expected if cleaned up right away and the color (coastal pine) is gorgeous in that funky beach style I love. December 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! We purchased enough of this floor to outfit our entire 3200 sqft home. This floor is absolutely beautiful!!!!! We used Home Depot installers and were equally pleased with their professionalism in craftsmanship and customer service. Sadly, we had a flood that required a home owners insurance claim and water damage mitigation. We love this floor so much that we are having it reinstalled!!!! You won't go wrong with this floor or HD installers. We also purchased the Pergo cleaner (spray bottle) for quick cleanups outside weekly cleaning. Awesome experience with them and their cleanup products too! September 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful and easy to care for We bought this for our new 20×20 great room that we had added onto our home. We wanted a "beach themed" room and this floor color and design was just perfect! I have always had Performance flooring in all of my prior homes and have never been disappointed. We went with the XP because we have 4 dogs. This color and design and brand is so easy to clean and care for, doesn't show any dog hair or dirt. I would highly recommend! December 18, 2014
