Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Expect it to install like the You Tube Video shows. So far I have installed 3 Pallets of the 12MM XP Coffee Handscraped Hickory. We love it! having a 90lbs black lab proves the durability, no scratched no chips. I’ve even dropped a few tools on it without issue. The extra thick material with the attached underlayment has a genuine wood sound, feel, and appearance. You do have to inspect every panel for defects, out of all the flooring maybe had issues with 6 pieces with manufacturing blemishes. (Still can be used as a starter or finisher with the blemish cut out) My Biggest issue is with installation. If you watch the Pergo Videos there is this lady that has zero issues getting the panels to lock, this is not the case by a loooong shot. After letting the Product acclimate to the room at 67 degrees, I went to install the product. Instructions have you measure the room’s width divide by the product width and the difference need to split on both ends to have uniform installation, this was the easy part. Next row needs to be staggered and lock in, this is where I have a problem, it would not lock but just rock back and forth and not engage. After talking to a few co-workers out of frustration I was told to take a scrap piece with a tongue, and screw on a 2x4. This would provide a surface to hammer, not damage the flooring and force the tongue and slot to engage. IT WORKED! I was able to lock in the ends and hammer the pieces in with a dead blow hammer. Sometimes the side to side lock had problem engaging and this would be overcome with a pull bar, couple of smacks and it would lock. A couple of reviews on here address chipping. The only time I had issues with chipping is when cutting the product. I use a skill 3600 floor saw and a 40 tooth blade. (40 tooth being specified by pergo). Pergo is some hard stuff; cutting requires patents and going slow for a clean cut otherwise chipping may occur, usually not a problem because the baseboard will hide it. Only other issue I had was grabbing the produce by the slot straddling the product with my hand my thumb would chip the slot. This was usually a small section and not a problem when installed. Only other observation I have is when the product is locked in, there is a 0 percent chance of taking it apart without tearing the slot. I have firsthand experience when I noticed a board 2 rows back had a blemish, unfortunately as careful has you can be the slots will rip, and the board now has only a good tongue left. (used to finish a row). March 2, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, but issues with board spring back The floor went down easily at the start but ran into issues as the floor progressed. There were portions of the floor where the boards would start to separate. We would pull boards back up and re-lock them and find that boards became unlocked again after too many rows were laid down. When the floor was complete we had two spots in our floor with considerable gap that had to be filled in with Pergo brown acrylic caulk. It looks really nice, family is happy, resistant to 60lb hunting dog's nails and scratching. We put down 450 square feet in around 8 hours for first time installers. Make sure you have the tool for tappping the boards into place so you do not damage the seam for the next board locks into. Rubber mallet is also recommended for installation. We ordered 2 extra boxes and used around 1/4 of the extra for cutting mistakes (24 ft^2 extra, only used around). January 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This floor looks GREAT! We found the home depot sales department at our store be experienced and well informed. Harold was extremely helpful. We decided to do the entire 800+ sq. ft. first floor in this flooring and could not be happier. The family room, the living room, formal dinning room, the half bath, the kitchen and the laundry. He had confidence in the installation company and said it might take 5 days for this much space. The installers schedule it for 3 days and wow did they work hard. About 8 hours the first day, 10 the second, and it might have been 12 hours the 3rd day. Since we decided to run the flooring vertically in the front part and horizontally in the back part, they were short on trim pieces as there were two extra transition pieces, but after that was finished up a week and a half later, wow, it looks GREAT. As for recommendations, my local home depot was great, ask for Harold, the people at the customer service desk knew how to look info about the order and install up, the installers, J/W were also very good. Yes I would recommend all of them. January 26, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the color We already have hardwood floors in our house so I thought I knew what to expect. Wrong! This new floor is a dream to care for. So easy it is unbelievable. The color is my fave though. Our other hardwood floors are light colors. So to mix it up a bit I decided on dark. As usual I was right, even my husband had to admit it! The dark color is not only a great color but it looks so much like real hardwood. January 7, 2015
