My wife researched laminated flooring before making this purchase. Pergo is not the cheapest but it has a good reputation and you get what you pay for. We did this project ourselves with out any major problems. My only problem with this particular product is that the tongue and groove panels are very easily broke during the assembly process and that the underside is made of pressed hardboard. The reason for purchasing the Pergo brand over the cheaper brand was because we have a large dog and we only wanted to do this project one time.

My floor has only been down for 10 months and i have a scratch and a deep nick in it. I feel with going with the 12 mm thickness that it should have better durability. you keep a floor a long time and I'm not happy that i have to live with floors that should be looking perfect. I worry about them lasting over time. Not a happy customer.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappy Not the quality we expected from pergo.
The laminate chipped within a couple weeks, which has never happened with the older laminate we have. It was also much more difficult to install than the other pergo xp we bought. Would not buy this again.

Scratches pretty easily, chips easy on installation. Looks good when installed but not the easiest to install.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PatD Very durable with 2 big dogs
We are halfway through the installation of this flooring. We just ordered a second pallet and did "ship to store", both times it arrived in 5 business days (they originally estimated 10 days). It is very easy to install and so far we have been impressed with the durability - we have 2 big labs that like to run around the house and drop their bones on the floor - no scratches or dents to be seen.
When researching what to get, we had a lot of people tell us that hardwood flooring was the way to go for improving the value of our home. We have friends that installed hardwood flooring in their home, and within weeks they were starting to see dents and scratches from their big dog. My thought was, what is the point of paying all the money for hardwood, if it going to get beat up by our pets and then if we go to sell the house in several years, it becomes a problem because the floors look bad. Maybe laminate flooring won't increase the value of our home as much as hardwood, but at least if we go to sell in a few years it will still look like new and it is still a huge improvement over the dirty carpet that we have been living with.
If you are debating whether to get the 10mm or the 12mm, I would opt for the 12mm - I am very happy with the thickness, it is a lot more forgiving during installation. My brother installed a 7-8mm thickness laminate in their home and they had to do a lot of extra prep work to make sure that the sub-flooring was perfectly flat and that there were no bumps or other irregularities, otherwise it would be noticeable after the flooring was installed on top of it. With the much thicker 12mm laminate, this was not an issue for us.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Melismith Beautiful but difficult installation
They look gorgeous now that they're installed but I would not recommend this product for a first DIY laminate install. If I had known how difficult it was going to be we would have paid for it to be installed

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff Looks good but not very durable
Had this installed during a kitchen remodel. Previous homeowner installed Pergo and it held up very well in the 15 years I've been in the home so I decided to go with Pergo to save some money over hardwood. I'll give this a 4 for looks but a 1 for durability. I will admit that my contractors' carelessness has contributed to this, but the floor nicks and scratches easily. So far I've been able to conceal much of the damage with a Minwax pencil but I'm concerned about the long term durability. Be careful moving appliances on this flooring.
I can't comment on the ease of installation as I was not the installer.
