We didn't get around to sealing our floors, and we have to be VERY careful not to leave water on the floor, or the cracks between the boards can swell up and ruin that section. Somehow a little water got on the floor just after installation, before we had the furniture moved back in place and could easily see the floor, and there's a small strip where the edge of a board swelled up. Answer:
Latex is not a component of laminate flooring however several sealants to fill the expansion gaps along the perimeter used to prevent moisture intrusion under the flooring can have latex content. We recommend a 100% silicon sealant as it will not dry out, and better suited to remain pliable and secure.

It's not likely that any customer would know. Maybe if you contact Pergo, they'd release that info.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Pergo. Since you are inquiring about the XP brand for both floors, there should be no problem with the two locking together.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 132 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The quality of this flooring is what we expected but a bit darker than it shows on the online sample. We put it in a remodeled bathroom and it went down easily and looks rich. We are very satisfied. Thanks to Home Depot, and their helpful staff we have a nice new lovely bathroom. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality product I typically don't ever review products, but felt that I needed to for this one, especially since previous reviews helped us so much. We installed this in our 500 square foot basement/den living area. It's perfect! We have had so many compliments on it; it seems durable and is easy to clean so far (I spilled a few paint drops and it came right up, even when it was a little dry). It was our first time ever installing flooring, and with the help of a family friend, we were able to do it relatively quickly. I'm really happy with it. It's definitely a different color than the photo online. It's more of an orange/amber color. But it's very pretty and looks similar to real wood. We also ordered the Grand oak T-molding and quarter round and it all matches beautifully. The installation kit was extremely handy too. All around, we are very pleased, thanks Home Depot! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quality product I have used this product in the past. The model Number was still listed. The flooring is a perfect match with the current flooring which has been in place for at least 5 years. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Easy to install and appears to be very durable. Appearance is very cloase to real wood. September 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great, Solid, Easy to Install Great stuff, easy to install (other than it dulled my saw blades rather quickly). October 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New beginning, new floor The completed floor is beautiful makes the whole room come alive. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by XP Pergo - As Advertised I purchased 14 boxes of XP Grand Oak to replace carpet in the master bedroom. Of the shipment there were three planks out of the 112 purchased that had manufacturer defects - very reasonable rate. However, the shipment was made on a wood pallet in such a way that the pallet slats crushed the underlayment on the bottom plank of five boxes. The instructions received with the product are good and additional information is available on the Pergo site. The assembly process is pretty simple and straight forward. As with all laminate flooring, it is essential that the install be continually checked to make sure that all joints are tight and remain that way. I consider this a very good product. It looks very good and meets all of my expectations. If a person is handy with tools and properly repairs any issues with the subfloor it produces a very attractive floor. If you plan to DIY be prepared to sand and apply leveling compound to meet the flatness requirement for a correct install. September 30, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Darker than online image We wanted a light finish to match our new birch cabinets and selected Grand Oak based on the image displayed on the Home Depot web page. In fact, Grand Oak is a dark finish. We could exchange it but the amount of time and effort involved in getting the flooring to the job site makes an exchange prohibitively expensive and we will have to live with what we received.
