We wanted a light finish to match our new birch cabinets and selected Grand Oak based on the image displayed on the Home Depot web page. In fact, Grand Oak is a dark finish. We could exchange it but the amount of time and effort involved in getting the flooring to the job site makes an exchange prohibitively expensive and we will have to live with what we received.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jmkbama Excellent product
I initially purchased laminate from Allen and Roth because it matched my existing hardwood floors. Installation was a nightmare. Did not "lock" properly and any attempt to drive into place resulted in damaged edges. Completed one room but was not satisfied. Purchased Pergo and difference was night and day. Much better quality and installation was 10 times easier than Allen and Roth. Locks into place and will take a little "pounding" when necessary (such as under door frames) without damaging edges. Very pleased with finished product. I wish had purchased Pergo for my first room.

I am so in love with this flooring. We have it installed in our living room and both upstairs bedrooms. It was so easy to order and was delivered to our home quickly. It was easy to install and looks amazing!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by sanangelo123 Beautiful but Scratches easily
I researched flooring before choosing Laminate. I knew that I didn't want tile and couldn't find wood in the lighter color. I had it professionally installed by Home Depot. The underlay and floor was installed quickly, they had to cut a few pieces. The molding took several hours. Installation cost more than the laminate. The floor looked absolutely gorgeous after installation. I've been careful in taking care of it, even put felt on the bottom of my furniture to help not scratch the floor. It's less than a year old and it shows SCRATCH areas all over the floor and it's noisy to walk on. Even with the underlay, it's loud. So far, it still has the shine but is starting to fade.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by somd Pain in the butt to install, but worth it in the end.
Since long rows have to be put together and then installed, it's a very difficult installation. However, as two average DIYers, we were able to complete the job. The end result is beautiful, too. I assume, at the same time, that a product that looks this good in the end can still be designed in a way that makes for easier installation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by octavio3 Pergo Xp grand oak.
I bought this flooring with doubt being I have tried other laminate flooring competitors. By far the easiest instalation and looks good. I have had it in my house for at least 5 months and no scratches and cleans up like a dream. I would recommend pergo XP products to anyone who wants the look of hardwood without the price tag that comes with it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by D94306 Looks amazing. Has a wood-like texture. A great alternative to hard wood.
This is for a guest bedroom. It meets up with my natural oak hardwood floors. This looks amazing. It has a texture of real wood. Great color. A bit more red than what is pictured on Home Depot's website. If you can get a sample, the sample is the correct color. The only drawback is that I had to order online and it took 1.5 weeks to be delivered. It is not in-stock at any store close to me (and I have quite a few to choose from). I personally did not install. My contractor did and it looked like it could be done by a DIY'er. We put radiant heat under our Pergo. Sorry that there is some debris, didn't have time to clean and just took the photo because I was so happy!

Found several pieces in multiple boxes that had not been finished by the manufacturer. When I took the pieces back the clerk had trouble refunding the cost.
