My friend recommended that I replace the carpeting in my town house with laminate flooring. I shopped around and fell in love with the beauty of Pergo Curly Koa. My friend is a natural with fixing anything and so he installed the Pergo with ease. He loved the locking system. Installation was pretty much a breeze for him, but tedious due to the up and down of measuring and sawing. One thing that we discovered is that you must pay close attention to all of the surrounding edges. On occasion we discovered a slightly raised/warped area on a laminate edge that when walked on after installation would actually cause a piece to begin chipping. You must inspect each laminate floor board before and after installation; otherwise it may be way too much work to correct the problem. It takes a good pair of second eyes on hand during the installation to catch these warps since the installer is focused on getting the job done. The floor moldings are still being installed. Anyways I love my Pergo Curly Koa soooo much that I plan to have it installed in each of my bedrooms too!

We purchased this product because it was listed as being very durable (AC4 commercial grade)!!! We dog sat for someone and the dog peed on the floor once ruining (bubbled up on edge) about 5 boards in the middle of the room!! We called the store and of course that is not covered under the guarantee. I would not recommend this product if you have animal or if you can't wipe up your spills quickly!!

My floor looks good but many of the pieces were damaged. It suppose to be noise resistance but I can't tell a difference. It takes a lot of care to keep clean. I would say shop around, you can get a better product for the money you spend on this name product.

I did not install this flooring, but I did not hear the person I hired swearing from the other room, so I guess it went in relatively easily. if I can get the picture to download, you can see how nice the flooring looks with the hundred-year-old wooden floors in in our

We installed this product in our home office/spare bedroom. The end result is a gorgeous floor, but it was a pain in several ways to install.
This was by no means our first time dealing with Pergo or other similar click-and-lock laminate products. (It was the 5th laminate floor we've installed in our house over the last 13 years.) Since it was a custom order, it had to be shipped and we chose the home delivery option. The local freight company was a pain to deal with and when the product finally arrived, many of the cases were damaged - the attached underlayment was scraped off of the first plank of several cases.
The other problems we had were manufacturing defects from Pergo itself. Of the 13 cases we needed, at least 2 of them had glue resin on the finished side of every plank in the case that we had to carefully scrape & clean off. Several other planks had another residue on them that affected the finish that could not be removed. In another 2 cases, every plank was missing the little black plastic insert on the one short side that is required to make the planks lock together correctly.
Fortunately, with the shape of the room and our experience of using every last scrap available, we were able to recover enough plastic inserts to finish the last row or two in the room and cut off the gluey or damaged parts of planks to complete the job. We quickly found that the easiest way to install a row was to piece an entire row together and then tap it in all at once. (That was similar with an Armstrong plank flooring we used in the past.) Each row clicked together solidly and tightly.
In the end, we loved the results and are really pleased with how the floor looks. It was simply a pain to work around all of the shipping damage and manufacturing defects we had in our batch of materials.

Pretty easy to install and found just a couple of very tiny flaws in a couple of the boards.
