How does this plank compare to Pergos Elegant Expressions Koa? We had a floor installed less than 5 years ago and need

Replacement planks. The 2 extra boxes we had was not enough to fix damage from a leaking dishwasher.

I highly recommend that if you install any laminate floor, you buy a lot of extra planks. Otherwise, you are going to have to replace the entire floor. This is the second time we have dealt with this scenario with Pergo.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Pergo. This is similar color to Pergo Elegant Expressions Island Koa and is the same thickness and width. I would recommend that you order a sample prior to installation to see if it works well with your existing floor.

Sticky glue can usually be removed with lighter fluid on a cotton ball without damage to anything. At least it has always worked for me.

5) You may be able to cover scratches up with Scratch Away or Old English Scratch Cover. It comes in both light and dark varieties and is available at most grocery stores. Apply this product only to the scratches using a clean, dry cloth, not the entire floor surface. It helps disguise them by not reflecting the light.
6) Pergo offers a line of coordinating finishing putty to fill deep scratches and gouges.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 61 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Newly Installed and Loving It!! My friend recommended that I replace the carpeting in my town house with laminate flooring. I shopped around and fell in love with the beauty of Pergo Curly Koa. My friend is a natural with fixing anything and so he installed the Pergo with ease. He loved the locking system. Installation was pretty much a breeze for him, but tedious due to the up and down of measuring and sawing. One thing that we discovered is that you must pay close attention to all of the surrounding edges. On occasion we discovered a slightly raised/warped area on a laminate edge that when walked on after installation would actually cause a piece to begin chipping. You must inspect each laminate floor board before and after installation; otherwise it may be way too much work to correct the problem. It takes a good pair of second eyes on hand during the installation to catch these warps since the installer is focused on getting the job done. The floor moldings are still being installed. Anyways I love my Pergo Curly Koa soooo much that I plan to have it installed in each of my bedrooms too! March 9, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by looks beautiful I did not install this flooring, but I did not hear the person I hired swearing from the other room, so I guess it went in relatively easily. if I can get the picture to download, you can see how nice the flooring looks with the hundred-year-old wooden floors in in our November 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous When Finished, but Shipping Damage & Many Manufacturing Defects We installed this product in our home office/spare bedroom. The end result is a gorgeous floor, but it was a pain in several ways to install. This was by no means our first time dealing with Pergo or other similar click-and-lock laminate products. (It was the 5th laminate floor we've installed in our house over the last 13 years.) Since it was a custom order, it had to be shipped and we chose the home delivery option. The local freight company was a pain to deal with and when the product finally arrived, many of the cases were damaged - the attached underlayment was scraped off of the first plank of several cases. The other problems we had were manufacturing defects from Pergo itself. Of the 13 cases we needed, at least 2 of them had glue resin on the finished side of every plank in the case that we had to carefully scrape & clean off. Several other planks had another residue on them that affected the finish that could not be removed. In another 2 cases, every plank was missing the little black plastic insert on the one short side that is required to make the planks lock together correctly. Fortunately, with the shape of the room and our experience of using every last scrap available, we were able to recover enough plastic inserts to finish the last row or two in the room and cut off the gluey or damaged parts of planks to complete the job. We quickly found that the easiest way to install a row was to piece an entire row together and then tap it in all at once. (That was similar with an Armstrong plank flooring we used in the past.) Each row clicked together solidly and tightly. In the end, we loved the results and are really pleased with how the floor looks. It was simply a pain to work around all of the shipping damage and manufacturing defects we had in our batch of materials. March 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice flooring Pretty easy to install and found just a couple of very tiny flaws in a couple of the boards. March 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Buy Doesn't hold true to being water resistant. If any liquid lands in the seam, the area is done, bubbles up. I had 30" of snow on my decks Jan/2016, I had to take everything off before walking on the floor. I have it in the living room/dining room/kitchen/family room. Very big mistake! March 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great I bought the style because it looks like real wood the colors are great. I'm extremely disappointed in the durability. We just installed it recently and it has scratches on it and I have no idea where they came from. A simple chair in the living room put minor scratches on it. If you're looking for durability this is not what you want. I am forever worried that something is going to be damaged. I thought AC-4 was supposed to be more durable than what I have seen in this product. Not for animals or a family that is hard on their floors December 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Learning Curve My husband and I bought this floor to replace old carpet in several bedrooms and a hallway. We had never installed flooring before, but read good reviews about this product. Having two dogs and future kids, we appreciated the durability of it in the store. Overall, it's awesome. The installation though had a bit of a learning curve to it, and I'm glad we are mathematically oriented. The first row was a little shaky, but was stabilized by the subsequent rows. We also learned that as you cut the lengths, you have to pay attention to whether you're cutting the tongue or groove end. We also learned that the whole floor can shift as you're hammering boards into place, so the spacers are definitely helpful. YouTube videos definitely helped us. I'm so excited to use these gorgeous floors! December 20, 2015
