Answer:
Thank you for contacting Pergo. There are 13.1 square feet in each carton of Pergo XP Highland Hickory. To cover a 9x12 room you will need approximately 108 square feet. Therefore you will need at least 9 cartons of flooring.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Pergo. You will want to install the door before installing Pergo laminate floors. The floor will need to be separated by a transition in any opening less than 4'.

Thank you for contacting Pergo. Here are the cleaning instructions for your floor. To clean, an occasional damp (not wet) mop, quick sweeping or light vacuuming with the hard floor attachments are usually all it takes. When damp mopping, an Ideal solution is a combination of 1 gallon of water with 1 cup vinegar or ½ cup of ammonia. Be sure to squeeze the water out of the mop thoroughly before mopping, and rinse the mop frequently. A spray bottle with the same water and vinegar/ammonia solution mentioned above is a great way to spot clean between moppings.
Pergo floors must never be waxed, polished, sanded or refinished and never use a steam, wet or jet mop when cleaning. Do not use soaps, detergents, or cleaners with wax because they may leave a film, dulling the floor. Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Answer:
Thank you for contacting Pergo. We DO NOT recommend that you use a steam mop on your Pergo laminate floors as they can press water into the joints and cause permanent damage.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 288 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Strong finish fragile edges The floor looks beautiful, the finish is tough, but the ends are very fragile. I have had a couple pop loose, I'm a bit concerned about longevity, if you purchase this floor make sure floor is level and inspect each board carefully as you go, watch multiple installation videos (I watched one that was giving bad advice and it cost me much time, before I found someone who knew what they were doing) Floor looks beautiful! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Flooring you will EVER buy! The Pergo XP Highland Hickory is amazingly easy to install, cut and cover an existing wood floor. We purchased 28 cases and needed to cover 325 square feet with the dining and living room. Easiest product to install, I can't say that enough. Looks amazing and added such life to the house. Took two days to install and with the right tools it went together with several taps. I recommend that you purchase this product, especially due to the high standards that the product has and that it already has the underlay attached, which is a money saver and bonus. We have a 93 pound dog that runs through the house and all I can say is it left no marks at all on the floor . Extremely durable, easy to clean with a Swifter and cotton cloth (collects the dust better ). You will not regret paying the extra money for such a great product. Win - Win !!! May 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by floor great all around! This floor went down easy and looks great I chose several samples of real hardwood, bamboo, and laminates and pergo xp was the only one I couldnt scratch with a key...for real!Great stuff! February 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What was once the basement is now the Lower Level! I am very happy with the PergoXP Highland Hickory 10 mm thick Laminate Flooring that we selected. The floor was easy to install on the concrete slab and the finished product is beautiful. I must also say that there was virtually no damaged product in the two pallet shipment that I ordered. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent - So far Installed only about 1/2 of the order but so far it has been excellent - very easy to install - just take your time - measure twice cut once December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect love it I first installed this in my bedroom and it held up and looks great. one year later I installed it in my livingroom. I love it and get compliments all the time. Held up getting water droplets and moving furnature around without scratching. Looks like real wood. Sorry I already carpeted my other bedrooms.i would do the whole house in this! May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We LOVE it We just built a 1600 sq ft home and put this in most of the rooms. We did the install ourselves. It is so beautiful and seems to be pretty tough. We have a lab and Grandkids and wanted something worry free! Every one compliments on it and are amazed that it is not real wood. So far we are extremely well pleased!! April 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pergo XP stands up to it's name This is the third time I have installed Pergo XP and I could not be happier with the quality and look of the flooring. I have used it in high residential traffic areas and it has held up fantastic. I have a dog with long nails as well. I installed it in again in my cabin that has very little heating and it has held up well as long as you give the product the recommended expansion requirement. The downside of Pergo is the transition strips and moldings. They are cheaply made and I have always used actual wood transition strips that I have modified. For the price of these transition strips (very expensive) Pergo should do something about this in keeping with the quality of the flooring. January 26, 2016
