Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HBlover The WORST HB Feeder
The feeder LEAKS on the under side of the RED 'petals' when the feeder is tossed around by the WIND.
All that it attracted were BEES...whose presence made the HB's that actually DID visit very angry and they immediately LEFT without using the feeder.
Nope...wouldn't recommend for anyone. Returned product for refund.

A complete cleaning of the feeder is needed before assembly. The feeder takes no time to assemble, and it's really easy. Everything about the feeder is as it is reported on line. However, make sure that you hang the feeder in a location that allows for some dripping. The food will slosh inside when freshly filled, and with wind, which causes the dripping on the outer edge of the underside, but that's only for a short period. If you have a lot of birds feeding like I do, regular changing of the food is no big deal. If you have a hot location, and the feeder is in direct sunlight, you might want to fill the feeder halfway to avoid fermentation. I haven't had that problem, but it could happen. My feeder is under a tree branch, and doesn't get direct sunlight too often, mostly late afternoon. Just food for thought.
Over all, this feeder looks, and works great, and I'd recommend it to anyone. The price is good for the money when you consider how much those little feeders cost, and how often you need to clean and fill them. The fun of having this hummingbird feeder is watching the birds vying for a feeding spot. it's like watching children at recess.

We are waiting until we move to set this up. We currently have a bird feeder and don't have room for both. I had bought this same model at the Goodwill years ago and was immensely pleased, both with the product, and with watching hummingbirds. I would recommend one for every yard, except that there may not be enough birds to go around ;)

This has been my favorite feeder (hence the purchase of four) from my years of trying all sorts of cute ones.
1) It's easy to fill. Just a little turn and the base pops off leaving a huge opening to fill.
2) it's easy to clean. With the base off, you can actually reach into the feeder and clean it with your hand. No annoying mops that don't reach. Plus the material doesn't crack or become opague. Also, the feeder ports twist off for additional cleaning. I rarely have to do this since a brush does nicely.
3) The hummers just love it. With six feeding ports everyone gets a turn. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rose Difficult to clean
I thought these would be a great addition to the feeders I already had purchased. However, the bases are very difficult to clean as the top on the reservoir doesn't come off. Also, the base is difficult to replace once the jar itself has been refilled. I broke the locking piece on the jar trying to get the base back on. My husband did the same thing on another one when I couldn't get the base back on. Wouldn't recommend this feeder.
