Answer:
No just on one side but if you hang it facing in the direction you watch it it works. Also birds find it quite quickly, I have 7 bird feeders quite close and they find this one too.

Have this and had it for couple of years - it is now rusted on three sides and on the perch - at this price do I just dispose of it? spent more than I would normally on a bird feeder thinking it would last. Can I paint it? I have scraped off the chipping rust and it just floats right off. Kind of disappointed as it is a good size and holds lots of bird food. Please respond

How do I get the rust off this birdfeeder and make it safe for the birds?

This was expensive for me and I bought it because I depend on Home Depot for quality etc. Very disappointed that this has rust and I am thinking should I just chuck it out or can it be revived safely by painting with a rust proof paint which is safe for birds. On one side the rust just flaked off very easily but it is rusted on the trough where birds eat. It does keep the squirrels away but really cannot afford to just junk it unless I cannot repair it. Have had it about 2.5 years. Just bought 3 other birdfeeders from Home Depot that were on sale, not this kind of course. Thank you

Squirrel-Be-Gone Country Style is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 105.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smart squirrels I purchased these so-called "squirrel-proof" feeders a few weeks ago. When I filled one of them up and hung it on the usual tree I was excited to see if it worked. In about a half hour a red squirrel was on it trying to figure out how it was going to get it's meal, well, it didn't take long before he was hanging on the side of the feeder reaching in and pulling out seeds like there was no deterrent. I guess the grey ones aren't as smart, since they haven't figured it out yet, except by hanging on the roof and reaching in from the bottom and sometimes the lever will close when they lose their balance and press down on it. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! This was my first purchase and I am so glad I found birdfeeders! I have searched for a feeder that the pesky squirrels cannot figure out I hit a home run with this one, it's comical to watch them try. I mounted the feeder on a pole in an open space inside yard. All the compliments is just an added bonus. Great customer service and fast delivery has caused me to order three more feeders in different styles! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Recommend it because it holds lots of seeds, good looking, I have no problem with squirrels, however, it leaks, so I put a small round plastic food container (which I painted) over the bird and that does the job but it has rusted very badly and at $34.99 it is an expensive feeder for me. Birds took to it about 4 or 5 days after I hung it up. Had it for couple of years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from didn't work The idea is great and it looks attractive. However, after the third day, the squirrels figured out how to hang off the edge without stepping on the bar that covers the feeding compartments. I have gone back tp my previous feeder and am convinced there is no such think as a squirrel proof bird feeder [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features, holds large amount of seed. Currently am using two feeders at two locations, recently ordered two more. Had to repair plastic window broken also top locking wind vane broken by squirrels. Needed is replacement parts for these feeders. They get a lot of rough use and sometimes from deer. Rated 4 out of 5 by from My squirrels must be geniuses I love these! Look great, wonderful construction. But my squirrels have taken both tops off. I'm using 'bungee' cords to hold them on. Make sure you wrap the coeds around the handle also, so they can't slip them off. LOL I'd still buy these again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
