Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Glad I found this product I had to replace a smaller vent pipe cover and found this brand and type at my local hardware store. It was so easy to install and it is doing the job it is designed to do. Upon inspection, my larger vent pipe also needed a replacement cover. That size (4 inch) in same brand and type was not available at any of my local stores. One of them recommended Home Depot. Since I was going to visit my Dad who lives where this Home Depot is located 60 miles from me, it was no trouble to shop there. They were out of stock in the size I needed so they had to order it for me. Then I picked it up at their store on my next visit to my Dad's. I am a well satisfied customer both with the product and the service I received with Home Depot. I will not hesitate to do business again with them when needed. December 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good but not perfect My house is old, and my 4" vent stack had holes forming in the rubber around the base. Enter this cover. The base is not large enough to cover the whole rubber section on the base of my pipe. It was too short to fit on my pipe properly and my roof was too flat for the base to fit best. I took my Dremel and cut out a section of the base that swivels, under the top pipe part, so it would lay more flat, and cover more rubber on the roof. I like the idea of this device, I just wish that it was slightly larger on the base and that I was able to swivel the bottom even more without having to cut it myself. If you have a more peaked roof, and you're sure this will cover what it needs to cover, this should work perfect out of the box. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vent Pipe Cover - solved the problem! Easy to install and stopped the leak. The existing pipe extended just above the pipe cover before cap was put on which worked out good and which is what they recommend. Thankfully did not have to cut or modify existing pipe - EASY! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Fix I ordered 4 of these and it took less than 30 minutes to install them. Two on my home and the other two on my neighbors. The packing by the vendor was done by some dumba$$ they should have used a larger box instead of jamming them together. It took 5 minutes to separate without breaking them. These don't come with adhesive so be sure you have some to glue cap to the bottom. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great solution Easy installation and appears that it will fix the issue of a leaking seal around a vent pipe without having to pull up shingles. September 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! Used this 4" version and also two of the 3" versions on the vent pipes in my roof which were all starting to deteriorate and leak around where they sealed on the pipe. Really a slick design and works as advertised. The design won't allow anything to leak as long as the it's only the seal around the upper portion of the original boot seal that is leaking. If the original boot seal was deteriorated on the flat surface where it meets the roof, you'd have to use the perma-boot model for new construction/re-roof. If/when I have to re-shingle my roof, I'll plan on using the perma-boot model for new construction/re-roof for sure to avoid ever messing around with the older rubber boot seals again. July 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High Quality, Easy Repair This product is incredibly easy to install, and designed so that no water, snow, or ice can seep into or around old boot. No shingles to remove, no drilling, no nailing! I installed this product several months ago, and have no leaks, no shifting of unit. This a homeowners "dream" repair. Installation time was under 15 minutes. December 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is great and easy to install! I found it to be very easy to install and so far, I don't have any problems with it. I would suggest that reviews should be solicited a year after purchase- not a week or two! May 6, 2014
