I was looking for a low cost option to extend my jet ski dock to fit another ski on it, and also for something that floated low enough that I could drive it on... This worked great. I got two 24x48x8 floats, ran 3 stringers across the width of my dock, and bolted 1/2 inch treated plywood covered with grey outdoor carpet (like trailer bunk carpet). And added two 2" schedule 80 PVC pipe Guides. Also Vnotched the Plywood for drive on. Attached the whole thing with eye bolts to the existing dock. Works just as advertised. Sinks down perfectly for drive up, and floats up where ski is level when I get off the ski.
Whole project cost around 200.00. I have old school Waveblasters (which are indeed a blast) and only weigh 350 lbs./ 8ft long. for bigger skis I'd recommend longer/ thicker floats. A low cost solution for dock floats that are so expensive everywhere else.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RVAstro Home Depot Floating Dock Drum
The Dock Drum (actually a box shape) works as advertised. Home Depot had the best price (free shipping) for any dock float I found. The dock float was easy to integrate into my own wood frame / dock design.
