The doghouse was easy to assemble and is watertight. I especially like the built-in vent that allows extra air circulation. The house looks durable, and I had high hopes. However, during the first month of use, my dog chewed through the door frame. The house is so lightweight that the dog is constantly moving it, and has even flipped it over a couple of times. My dog likes to lay on top of the house. She is now 18 months old and weighs around 50 pounds, well under the weight limit specified for this product. But after only four months of use, the roof has caved in under her weight. This was an awfully expensive doghouse to last less than 5 months before needing replacement. And I'm sure the roof situation would be even worse if this was summer, with the sun heating the thin, flexible plastic even more. For us, this doghouse was a waste of money.

Well, it is very well constructed. A very nice house. The only problem is, he won't go in it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ScottW Best Doghouse on the Market
This doghouse is the best one on the market... PERIOD!
It assembles super easily, it is extremely durable, and the optional clear weather doors make it nice and toasty during the winter.
My dog loves this dog house, and while it may be slightly more expensive than other dog houses out there (ie...Ebay, Walmart..etc) it is definitely the best constructed and will outlast all the others many times over.
So far it has gone through extreme rains and wind, and my dog has stayed 100% dry with no leaks (thanks to the 1 piece roof).
The slightly air cushioned and elevated interior floor makes it even more comfortable for my dog, and the nice boarder guard inside it keeps any kind of bedding or blankets from sliding around.
My dog is an outdoor dog only and sleeps in this house year round. The super thick walls insulate it for winter better than any other dog house on the market. And the rear vent allows for it to stay nice and cool during the summer months.
Again, I would not hesitate to recommend this dog house to anybody!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dawnn22 Perfect home for 2 beagles
Assembly was a breeze. I did it alone in about 10 minutes, no tools required. It is large enough to fit 2 beagles comfortably, they both have room to lay and stretch out a bit without being on top of each other. I put in a blanket because the bottom of course is plastic. We are very pleased!

I have a boxer, she is medium size. We love this dog house. It snaps together, has a vent, and you can buy a door for it. This dog house is very strong and sturdy. It will last for a long time.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Venus Wish I'd gotten another Igloo!
It looks tough enough in the picture, and if you have an older dog that doesn't like to tear things up, it might be fine. However, my dog, an 80 lb pit mix, about 2 years old, had put teeth holes in the corners before I had had it a week. He likes to grab it and drag it around. it will have to do for now but I don't know how much "insulating" value it will have after this. If the plastic was twice as thick as it is, it might be worth the price but it cost about $75 more than the Igloo and nowhere near as tough. I got an igloo for my other dog and when I got another dog, I was looking for something a little bigger and I thought this might work. You always take a chance when ordering something over the internet that you haven't seen in person. I'm sorry I took the chance on this. I should have searched for some reviews first.

This dog house was designed using basic common sense. First of all the assembly took less than 5 minutes; an additional 5 minutes to hang the “Pet Zone Large Dog House Door”. Once assembled, the dog house is very sturdy. It’s so sturdy that I can lay across the top of the house (160 lbs) with it easily holding me. It has a slidable vent that allows the dog house to air out.
My biggest concern was the dog house not leaking, so I tested it out. I used a water hose and a spray nozzle spraying a stream of water at the seams of the dog house without any signs of inside leakage. When I sprayed water as a shower directly at the back slidable vent and front door there was minimal leakage inside.
I NEVER write reviews so this dog house really needed to impress me to merit this written assessment. It was somewhat pricey, but over all this product by far exceeds my expectations.
