This has four settings:open both ways, only lets pets in, only lets pets out, won't open in or out. This is especially helpful when I'm wrangling my cats into the cat carrier. It's very sturdy and easy to install. When I replaced a door I got this same pet door since I like the original so much!

I installed this myself to replace an old one that was broken. It is larger than old one so had to cut door and it was SO HARD to install this alone. I ended up taping each side to door to be able to finish.
large enough for fat cat
difficult to put together
Not as well made as smaller version (unless they changed their products across the board). Feel like they cut corners to make product cheaper but compromised integrity of product.

We installed this on our garage door last year just before winter, for a stray that we've been caring for. After a few times of 'nudging' him through the door, he caught on. He used it all winter, and the good news is, other animals don't realize that they can push the door open. Getting ready for winter #2 now with our 'big cat flap.'

Hardest part of the installation was cutting a round hole in the door. Cats quickly adapted to using the door.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marje Perfect for my 3 small dogs and one cat
I bought this exact pet door a few years ago, put it on the back door of our mobile home. It works great!
My chihuahuas weigh about 7 lbs, and my larger dog weighs about 18 lbs. The cat is average. They all use the door with ease.
This pet door was in our old door about 3 years, and we recently put in a new mobile home door, and put the old pet door back in. It still works very well.
The flap stays in place, and we are able to lock the flap into any position we need. Great for controlling the traffic! I have just purchased another pet door exactly the same because we like the locking features. Now I have a replacement when the old one wears out!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JBark Complicated assembly
This product was just in the price range that I was looking for, but assembly was very annoying and I can't seem to get it to swing through my door as it is designed to do. I ended up taping the door open on one side and having some scrap cloth hang down to keep the cold air downstairs. I have built and assembled a great many things in my life, but the plastic parts and the way you have to mount and align this on your door is not easy at all. DO NOT glue the plastic shields in place to try and keep them from constantly falling out. This only makes it harder.
I would not recommend this product to anyone. I will likely have to replace the door and get a new cat door in the next year because of the poor quality of this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by doitherselfer Easily installed, good size for large cats
We installed this on a hollow core door that leads into my basement for my cats to use for their food & box access. I have kept it propped open as my cats are too stubborn to learn how to push it open on their own. The installation was fairly easy even though we had to put some wood blocks in the door to mount it to since it was a hollow core. I have 2 cats, one being quite small and 1 that is a large 20 pound cat who fits through the door easily. End result is happy cats and frustrated puppy who would love to know where the cats go all the time.
