My wife read the instructions and I decided to let her go ahead and try to do some of the installation herself. I drew a square in the door and drilled the holes and let her take care of the rest. Men, this is a bad idea. Don't leave your wife on a project like this!
We were at it for about an hour, using the wrong tools to get the square cut out. It was time to get a jigsaw, and this definitely helped us get the job done right! We woke our test subject up and placed him in front of the cat door. I pushed at the door and let it swing a couple times. I helped push him through it, and watched him figure how to get out. He eventually did.
It has a couple different lock types, it can either open one way, the other way, both ways, or no ways. Nifty.
It's a good door and I'm really glad we got it. I hope it lasts a very long time!

Very easy installation. I installed one on a door to our basement and one in drywall between finished basement and utility closet. Installing on a door that has any molding is a bit tricky but I used a wood filler to hide the spaces. It is definitely an indoor product and as the directions state, should not be used for a door leading outside. Cats were skeptical at first but are starting to adjust.

We needed to change the door on the utility room to the outside and also add in a cat door. We have a small cat (9-10#) and chose this door. It is plenty big for her, even if she gains a few pounds. It is small enough to also discourage the skunk, possum and coon that sometimes got through the larger previous door. Additionally, my cat has not figured out how to open the door which is good. She was able to unhook the 4 latches on the previous dog door to escape. The latching mechanism seems flimsy, but time will tell.

Easy to install and the animals found it easy to use.

Worthless door!! The in only feature requires my force then my cats care to use to get in. It also must be pushed in the center when in this position and they prefer to push with their paws at the side. That being said, one of my cats regularly has successfully opened it in the locked position. How pathetic is that? An averaged sized cat can create enough force to open this door! And yes, I check it every night when I lock it to make sure it is actually locked. Also, the tab on the left side broke off so now if someone is not careful, you can accidentally completely open it instead of having it in the in only position. Not only would I not recommend this door to someone looking for a pet flap, I would activitely recommend NOT getting it to them.

This cat flap was very easy to install and our cats can easily use it. Larger cats may accidentally slide the flap lock so it only moves one way, but this lock is easily removed. This cat flap will work best for a solid wood door because on a hollow door it doesn't cover the opening between sides of the door. A smaller cat may get its foot caught in between. Overall this flap is a great, inexpensive solution anywhere it is needed.

The quality is good because they just give you a couple stickies to hold the one part up. So far no issues though. I love it because it was really easy for her to get through to the garage now. Worth the price.

I have 2 cat doors, and they are great. I installed them on my storage room doors (one on the main door, on inside it on a door to a smaller room). The cats use them to get to their litter boxes tucked away in a back room. They have completely eliminated the kitty odour from the basement, and I'm able to keep the doors closed and therefore the dog out.
