Rated 5 out of 5Â by PitbullOwner13 Awesome Product
I own a 1 year old Pitbull. She weights almost 65 lbs. I had purchased the system with the regular collar. That worked for a while then she got used to the shock. So I purchased the stubborn dog collar. It works like a charm. She has learned the boundries and can be running full speed and when she gets to the boundry line she STOP. THere has been times that I forget to put the collar on her when she goes out to play and she still doesn't go past the boundries. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by choclab After 4 years I still love my fence!!!
I purchased this fence when we moved into our house in 2009. We had a 10 year old lab and a 4 year old Hack Russle that we were scared was going to chase a rabbit or squirrel and get lost. When we first placed it our lab learned after a couple of trainings where the boundaries were. The Jack Russle unfortunately had to learn with a good volt at number 5 and has learned after one hit to respect the boundaries. Four years later and he still wont test the boundaries with or without the collars. Now we have lost our older lab and have a new lab puppy that wanted to dig under the fence and destroy the flower beds. Also she has escaped several times. With the dog fence only set at 5 still she has learned to stay out of the flower beds and in our yard. I recommended this to a friend who adopted two dogs and it has put his mind to ease with the dogs in his yard and worked just as well. It is a little more than I wanted to pay at the time but to still have the same collar and unit four years later and to work as well as it did from day one I say its money well spent. In four years I have had to buy two batteries and I have two collars.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by KRC3030U The Stubborn Dog Fence Kit works great.
We incompassed approximately 6.5 Acres and the range of up to 10 ft.(from the perimeter wire) was available; but, we set it at about 1 to 2 ft. the collar has 5 settings and we have only had to put it on the first (warning only, that is a tick, tick, tick... and a buz). Our dog has great respect for the area of the wire (underground in most places) with the white flags. As a matter of fact, the white flags work where there is no "radio wire!" So far it is a success. He was initially introduced to the boundary with level 3 on the shock collar.

My First thought about this product was that it was cruel. I really didnt like the idea of shocking the dog everytime that he came near the fence. I only had to show him twice on the 2nd lowest setting that when he crossed the flags it would shock him. He was a little affraid for the first week but now he just avoids going near it. I love this product b/c we have a lab and he would always chew up our patio furniture. We bought this system to keep him from getting on the patio. It WORKED GREAT for me!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by MELKC1234 COLD WEATHER WARNING
As far a quality and installation is concerned i agree with the other reviews. this was fairly easy to install and it does it's job in the right climate!
DOES NOT WORK IN SNOW/COLD WEATHER! I bought this fence 1 year ago for my 4 dogs, this is our first winter with this fencing system and I took the collars off my dogs and we are back to a leash line outside. 2 of 4 dogs have run off 5 times in a month, in the dead cold of winter because this fence does not work properly in cold temperatures. The dog catcher even brought one back the other day and said that electric fences are notorious for not working in the cold!! GOOD TO KNOW! I even researched this prior to investing in this fence!
Maybe some dogs just learn to "know better" and not leave the fence line, NOT MINE! If the collar doesn't start beeping at them when they get close to the perimeter they know it is not working and 2 of them run free! The other 2 either follow or linger around the house until I let them in.
BIGGEST TROUBLE MAKER - Husky/Sheppard Mix who is on the stubborn dog collar â which worked well in the summer/spring, however I will note that she has chewed the latch off the collar completely off and we have sewed it together so we can still use it and not have to buy another one for 65.00 = she is the RUNNER and does not train well at all, so if you have a dog like this an underground fence is not for you! You are better off getting the PetSafe-Wireless Instant Fence Pet Containment system that requires NO boundary line.
