I have a Moen Monticello two-handle low arc roman tub faucet installed, and would like to order a handheld shower #128875P, faucet assembly, and diverter valve to have the matching trim and a handheld shower on the roman tub. The part numbers are from the Moen web site for ordering replacement parts.

Answer:
Pfister model #015-1DWX is specific to Pfister trim and is not interchangeable with other brands. The grooves on the end of the stem mate up with the Pfister hub and lever. Pfister does have this diverter valve with the hub and lever included: model #015-38BK brushed nickel or #015-38BC polished chrome. Please contact your local Home Depot special order counter for product availability and pricing.

Is there any reason this valve cannot be used as a two-inlet/one outlet valve; i.e., with the piping arranged backwards to what is intended?

I am looking for an in-wall valve that will switch between two hot water sources (a conventional hot water heater and a solar batch heater). Do you think the outlets on this valve can be used as inlets, and vice versa?

Thanks for your (constructive) comments!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by works fine The valve is quite large, it barely fit where I needed it to go by shutting off secondary inflow hole with the plug included in the package. It has to be secured behind the wall/tub surface, which makes me wonder why not wield on brackets right away so it can be screwed in place? Functionally it is a very good valve. Design/practicality is not well thought through. Therefore 4 stars. March 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Prefect for our Remodeled Bathroom! We decided to do a complete remodel of our main bathroom. We needed a diverter for our shower. This rough-in part worked perfectly. No Problems May 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The only problem was finding a trim kit to work with this valve The instillation was easy, finding a trim kit was hard. January 14, 2014
