All you need is a new diverter valve. Call Price Pfister and I'm sure they'll send it free of charge. Those valves are similar to shark bite fittings. You must push the release to disconnect. The release is the plastic ring at the point of connection. If connected properly it will not pull out without pressing the ring either forward or backward.

Answer:
Pfister Model # F-026-4CBS handle will lift off after the set screw is removed. However, if the handle is difficult to remove, apply more pressure to the handle and lift it backwards. If further assistance is needed please contact Pfister Consumer Support at 1-800-732-8238.

Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 42 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly perfect for my needs! With an old porcelain sink which was in excellent shape, I decided not to replace it as well, but the faucets were very old-fashioned and unattractive. I was pleased to find exactly what was necessary for my 4-holed sink on-line, at a reasonable price which was my goal. I could not have installed myself as the old equipment was rusted into the pipes, but with help from a handy-man friend, mission accomplished. It looks very beautiful, absolutely no leaking, and especially, updates my older sink. I was happy in a way not to have a lot of choices for the 4-holed sink in stainless steel but was very lucky that the one Home Depot offered was perfect. January 22, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Water oozes out; Waste of Time and Money. Bought this (brushed nickel) faucet to replace a solid 5 year old Delta ceramic cartridge model (chrome), damaged in removal, to match our kitchen remodel with new granite countertops and sink. Not thrilled with new slower gpm, outflow spout and handle has a very "flimsy", hollow, feel. In the last 10 years, I've purchased six different kitchen faucets for other projects, by different manufacturers, including Delta, Moen, even American Standard, from $60 less to $50 more, that were a better value than this model (Price Pfister GT264CB (Faucet): Kitchen Single Handle $175) I am so disappointed in this faucet. Price Pfister, I want my money and time back. February 19, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing but trouble Avoid this model and all other Price Phister kitchen faucets. Same as other reviewers have said. Soap dispenser broke within 6 months. All water stopped flowing within a year due to broken plastic diverter tube. This $5.00 piece is not in stock anywhere in Maryland. We are on city water - not a well. Called Phister customer service and they agreed to send a new diverter which I should receive in 10 to 14 days. I explained that we could not use the kitchen sink, so could they overnight the part if I paid extra shipping. Their answer was "no, sorry we're not equipped to do that". Another top notch company goes down the drain, so to speak. That's the last Phister product I will ever buy. We replaced it with a similar Moen 4 hole from Home Depot. January 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kitchen faucet Faucet looks very good but installation was difficult for plumber. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Faucet for the money... The faucet is a great buy for the money and looks great too. I have had tons of compliments on it over the years. I did have problems not long after with the soap dispenser and then after about 5-6 years the finish on top of the faucet started pitting for no reason so I then decided to call customer service and with no questions asked they replaced the parts I had a problem with. I have to say I am very pleased with the customer service and with the product and would recommend this faucet to anyone January 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NO water pressure! BEWARE! This faucet is beautiful to look at, but that's all the good that can be said about it --- unless you will only be looking at it and not using it. The water pressure is TERRIBLE!! After doing searches on the internet, it is apparent this is a design flaw, so I will be returning it! But, how inconvenient is that (!!) -- the plumber installed all of my fixtures and has been paid and left, and now I have to remove a faucet, return it, buy a different one and have it installed ---- all because of a design flaw -- which I'm sure is government regulation to "save water." BTW, the bath lavatory faucet is a Price-Pfister and the pressure is great! This is really ridiculous! Stay away from this faucet! November 18, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Avalon I love this faucet with side spray. Easy to use easy to clean and it looks great. February 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst faucet ever Lovely to look at, but that is it and the price was nice, however it's not worth it if you have to hire a plumber to come back out and change it after 3 months of use. First the soap dispenser broke. Then the pressure for the hot water is a tiny stream and the hot water comes and goes. The rest of the faucets in the house work great, while this one is malfunctioning. The hose to the sprayer is stiff and hard to use. You have to fight with it every time you use it! This faucet is 3 months old and we are returning it this weekend. I highly recommend choosing a different model. December 30, 2010
