Answer:
Pfister Model # F-026-4CBY is not CEC compliant with a 2.2 GPM flow rate. As of January 2016, kitchen faucets are required to have no more than 1.8 GPM out put in California. However, Pfister Model # GT264CBY has a 1.75 GPM and is acceptable in California. Please visit your local Home Depot special order counter for pricing and availability.

Answer:
Pfister Model # F-026-4CBS handle will lift off after the set screw is removed. However, if the handle is difficult to remove, apply more pressure to the handle and lift it backwards. If further assistance is needed please contact Pfister Consumer Support at 1-800-732-8238.

Customer Reviews

Avalon Single-Handle Standard Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer and Soap Dispenser in Tuscan Bronze is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 101.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water oozes out; Waste of Time and Money. Bought this (brushed nickel) faucet to replace a solid 5 year old Delta ceramic cartridge model (chrome), damaged in removal, to match our kitchen remodel with new granite countertops and sink. Not thrilled with new slower gpm, outflow spout and handle has a very "flimsy", hollow, feel. In the last 10 years, I've purchased six different kitchen faucets for other projects, by different manufacturers, including Delta, Moen, even American Standard, from $60 less to $50 more, that were a better value than this model (Price Pfister GT264CB (Faucet): Kitchen Single Handle $175) I am so disappointed in this faucet. Price Pfister, I want my money and time back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from highly disappointed i bought this set because i love the look, the first month the soap dispenser broke, then the sprayer hose broke, now the faucet itself is leaking so bad that its ruining my cabinets, i hate that the water pressure is so low, i even took the nose off the faucet so i could have more pressure, has anyone received a replacement from Pfister? i called and they wanted me to pay 5 bucks to ship me what they thought was the broken part until i flipped, so they sent me a part that isnt even the broken part so i just emailed them again........grrrrrr! i would waste your money on this set! so over priced and so cheaply made!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the style but leakage and finish issues We have had this faucet set up for a few years and have already had to replace the sprayer as it was leaking. Now we have the sprayer leaking again, the faucet leaks and the handle leaks. The finish is coming off all 3 pieces as well. It goes so well in our kitchen but we now have cloths wrapped around the sprayer and water lever in order to keep the water from leaking under the cabinets. I would like to have these pieces replaced.....only thing with no problem is the soap dispenser.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Aggravating Had this faucet for 5 years. We constantly have to clean out the nozzle cause the parts inside shift. The water flow isn't what it says it is either. This is the only faucet in the house I have this problem with so I know it's not the plumbing. Have replaced the soap dispenser twice. Definitely didn't get what I thought I paid for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great, takes a lot of work to fix up We decided to purchase this faucet because it had a nice design (high arch, sprayer, soap dispenser), had the look we wanted (stainless and not chrome), and was a good price compared to similar models. But, as we read in other reviews, the hot water flowed much more slowly than the cold water. After calling Price Pfister and reading other reviews online here is how we fixed the hot water supply: We turned off and disconnected the hot water supply line (disconnect where it meets the faucet handle supply line not from the wall). Then removed the small screen that was in faucet supply line (to stop debris from getting into the pipe) using a small screw driver. There was debris on the screen so we cleaned it out. We opened the top side of the handle again (see instructions that came with the faucet step 23 "cartridge removal."). We took a small hand bulb ear syringe (you can get them at a drug store) and pushed water through the top (handle side) of the hot water supply line (have a bucket on the underside as that is where the water will go). After flushing the hot water line from the handle (which is the hole on the left side under the cartridge), we put everything back together and viola, the hot water pressure was fine. So, we have only had it for about two weeks (time will tell if it is a durable faucet), but so far we love it. This was surely a hassle to fix once it was all installed, but maybe if you preemptively clear the supply line before you install everything you will save yourself time. We would have given this a 4 or 5 star rating if it wasn't for this extra work (and the fact that Price Pfister customer service didn't give us the right solution). It's a good faucet, just be prepared to do extra work to get good hot water pressure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic hand sprayer leaking from crack in seam After about four years of really light usage, the plastic hand sprayer nozzle has developed a small crack in the seam resulting in water dripping down the hose onto the cabinets below. It appears I have to replace the entire faucet due to this issue. Bummer! Now I have to keep the nozzle sitting in the sink to stop the wet cabinet syndrome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive Functional Faucet We have owned this faucet since mid-2010. We like the attractive design and the faucet has performed flawlessly for us. The only issue we have had is a non-functional soap dispenser. Pfister is sending us a replacment at no charge. Additionally, the finish plating on the faucet has held up well in the 2 years we have owned the faucet. It does not show spotting like some other faucets we have owned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pfister has cheapened their products I am a contractor, I have built homes and kitchens for over 40 years. I have used Pfister often. They have cheapened their product so severely that I will NEVER use their products again.
