Customer Questions & Answers

Does the faucet spout (not the spray handle and not the hot/cold handle) swivel?

The faucet below is a 1 or 3 hole...

(Pfister Bixby 1-Handle Mid-Arc 1 or 3-Hole Pull-Out Lead-Free Kitchen Faucet in Polished Chrome ), How are the other holes covered? And what is 'non-deckplate' refer to in the mount type? Thank you!
Asked by: Anonymous
It comes with a chrome plate. There is a escutcheon ( like a finish washer) and a different nut to hold just the faucet if one only has one hold instead of three.

is the price pfister pull out kitchen faucet still available?

i have an approximately 19 year old price pfister pull out kitchen faucet that is malfunctioning. the faucet only produces a small stream and i am barely able to switch from single stream to shower even when a full stream was working. supposedly there is a lifetime warranty on the unit. is a replacement available and is the warranty still good??

Ron, you'd need to call PF in regards to warranty questions, If you could figure out the model number that would help. But, after 19 yrs, if the water stream is decreased, I'd suspect you have a build up of deposits in the cartridge if it has one, or the small filter on the end of the aerator on the end of the handle. You could try unscrewing the aerator and clean any deposits off it. If it's mineral, you cold soak it in white vinegar to help remove them.

Customer Reviews

Bixby Single-Handle Pull-Out Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Stainless Steel is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 117.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from A cheap, leaky mess I bought this faucet b/c is seemed like a good deal, was attractive and I was not looking for a high-end faucet. However, I did expect it to work. Although it does have a cheap, plastic feel I could live with that. The angle of the faucet is a bit odd, but again, not a big problem. The single lever works well, is very smooth and can be used with little pressure which is nice when one's hands are dirty. The pull-out is ok. The braided pull out tube has a nice counter-weight on the underside, which works well. Also, it was easy to install. HOWEVER, the money I saved on this unit has cost me dearly in time, energy and almost my kitchen cabinet. The pull out faucet has a VERY POOR design where it attaches to the tubing. Under normal use, the screw will unthread which causes a leak. The water will wick down the tubing and under the sink causing a flood. There is no way to correct this problem, believe me, I have tried. The only solution is to constantly check to make sure the screw is tight - - not very practical with a family. I will have to return this unit before I have serious water damage. What a shame.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design and Quality I guess I was taken in by the looks of this faucet. It has been a major disappointment. The sprayer design is not functional. The switch for "spray" or "stream" is located under the handle of the sprayer and it makes it almost impossible to keep in in the position you want. Also, where the sprayer attaches to the hose it does not stay tightened and therefore (in my case) caused a leak and almost destroyed my new cabinet underneath before I caught it. The whole design was not well thought out and I intend to return mine after trying to deal with it for 3 months. (The leak was the last straw). I feel this product is poorly made and although not a top of the line faucet, I certainly believe they could do better for the price!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did its job! Had the sprayer installed into my kitchen and it worked for a while until my 10 yr old pulled it out to spray and the hose broke and detached from the sprayer. After looking into the construction of this faucet I realized that it is completely plastic and not very durable. I would spend a little more money and buy a more durable faucet that would last longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from WARNING: PULL OUT WILL LEAK This is an attractive faucet with a nice "sprayer-switch", however the PULL OUT portion is screwed onto the hose and with use (less than a month in my case) the PULL OUT portion will come loose and you'll end up with a sink base full of water. I would expect a better engineering effort on the part of Pfister. Not recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice appearance and features set The has an attractive appearance and the shape of the integrated pull out spray head is convenient. As a "value" priced product you need to be aware that is is mostly plastic, feels cheap and may have poor long term reliability. If appearance and features are your objective this is great. If you are looking to make a long term investment you may want to consider spending a bit more and getting something with a bit more enduring quality

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pretty, easy to use- be careful on the install I really like the look and function of this faucet; however, when we had it installed (professionally) there are these snap on fittings that can't be tightened. So, the one to the cold water wasn't on perfectly and we had a major water leak problem. My husband jiggled the cords and apparently fixed it, but it was a huge headache. The plumber said these fittings are difficult to work with. He had checked for leaks before he left and it started leaking a day or two later.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't let the warranty fool you This faucet lasted 2.5 years of normal use and then the cartridge failed. No problem, there's a lifetime warranty, right? Pfister tells me that I'll have to replace the cartridge myself and, by the way, it's back ordered 3-4 weeks. After telling them I couldn't wait that long for a working faucet they found it in their hearts to send me a new faucet. This will leave me without a faucet for only two weeks. Here's a customer service idea. How about an online gift card for HD so I can go buy a new faucet today? Then I might be able to recommend their products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product; good value I purchased the kitchen faucet to replace one in my parents' home. They truly enjoy the pull out feature and the height allowance for taller pots. The handle is very easy to move with very little effort which is great for aged or arthritic hands. The installation went pretty smoothly and my parents are pleased with the product.
